Just off 15 days sailing Budapest to Amsterdam in this cabin - suited us personally and gave us money to add another week traveling Prague and Budapest before the river cruise. The bags fit under the bed nicely.
We had that sort of cabin on the Elbe but it was bigger than that, like a regular window. It was actually quite lovely.
I only need to sleep and poop there so good enough for me this summer!🇨🇦
I’m booked for a Christmas cruise in a standard cabin in December ‘23. I’d rather have the scenery in the summer, anyways!
We are taking this same cruise on Viking this December as well. I have cruised in this type of cabin before and it was great. No need for a balcony in December and if I want to see scenery I go to the lounge. I also found this cabin very quiet - not a lot of traffic going up and down this hallway unlike on upper decks. Big cost savings as well.
Never in a Million years would I book a cabin without an opening window or better still FRENCH DOORS. To me it would be like living in a cave !!!!. No thank you. FRESH AIR and more of it. Cheers. Max.

We love Viking Cruises but find their evening entertainment very dull and more geared up for the elderly 🫢👵🎹🎻☹️
