On Saturday, March 4th, I made a 4-hour trip to Wichita for a ribbon-cutting and activation ceremony for the oldest Thunderbolt still in service (serial no. T-75), located at the Sedgwick county fire district 1 in Park City. This siren was located at Kellogg Dr and Rock Rd at Eastgate shopping mall in Wichita until it was replaced with a 2001-130 in 2021. T-75 underwent restoration and was reinstalled last year, and it now serves in Park City. Another Thunderbolt was also on display for the event (serial no. T-79), which can be seen in the background. Both sirens were manufactured in 1952.
