So, fun fact: if you attend your classes and actually make friends with your teachers, you come to find out that there IS a rock specialist in this game. She just retired so she could teach and gave her gym over to her sister, who then proceeded to change the typing of the gym. So, this game actually does have a specialist for every single type, and I honestly love that. ^_^
Cause they don't state it directly that Tyme and Ryme are sisters, it's just implied via the context clues of "has a sister", "sister became the gym leader", their names are similar, and they look similar.

I found that the hard way when she asked me to be her rival. She basically told me "I can do this all day" and it simplified to her saying "please say yes to being my rival"

Add in that his types are the most common combination in pokemon (normal/flying). There are so many subtle add-ins with this game. It's super glitchy but the story and details are stellar.
I wish I didn't get spoiled by that so I could be fully surprised as well and not go "oh right, I forgot you were there" I hate spoilers in thumbnails because the only way to avoid them is to not use RUclips... Mikey is good for not doing that and I respect that.
I absolutely LOVE that in ScarVi you assemble a SQUAD before just going on to take on the big bad. It feels so much more epic than just "hey ten year old kid go fix this mess an adult could handle". But here, hehehehe. We've seen what happens when ADULTS meddle in things. Doesn't go well.

The game goes out of it's way to specify that you just become Champion "ranked" and not the actual league Champion, aka the Top Champion, which is Geeta. And the reason she's the Top Champion is because she's also the Chairman of the Paldean League so it's a self appointed role, one that she can not be removed from until she decides to step down, so she will always be the final opponent of the League as long as she holds that title.

I love just how ludicrous Tinkatons line is. Ultimate Gremlin energy with a morbidly hilarious backstory for their weapon that also explains why the Taxi bird changed. Not to mention theyre bonkers powerful.

The characters in this Pokemon game have fantastic personalities and nowhere is nowhere more apparent than in the Elite Four gauntlet. There is so much dialogue between the Elite Four and the player character, never before have I felt like I was fighting actual characters with hopes, personalities, and dreams than in this Pokemon League. These weren't blank NPCs with unique designs and nothing else like so many of the other Elite Four members are. They are fully fleshed out characters who developed a history and relationship with the player and it was awesome!
Here is my theory on why each gym leader has chosen which pokemon for their ace: Katy's Teddiursa is a bear which loves honey, often used in sweets and baking, Sudowoodo is a fake tree and was often presumed to be grass when first encountered, Iono bieng a streamer may need a camera whereever she goes so a ghost carrying the camera for on the go streams, Kofu's crabominable is a crab because sea food. Larry's staraptor is foreshadowing his elite four typing, Ryme's toxicictrity as Mike figured, based on rapping and loud music and Tulip is a makeup models so florges can present either a flower's natural beauty or the fragrances used in makeup and final Grusha's altaria is cloudy like so the white fluffiness may be similiar to snow toward his prior snowboard career. Maybe I am overreading
Although it's probably not intended, I can see it being oddly symbolic of Grusha to take a powerful and graceful dragon type and make it significantly weaker by making it into an ice type. It's never made clear what happened to him, at least I don't think outside of an accident so him slapping an ice typing on a strong dragon with a fluffy snow like appearance could be symbolic of his accident and how it weakened him to the point he had to quit.

Hey I just realized this did you notice that the elite 4 represents a persons development through life. Poppy represents childhood (1 to 12), Rika represents the adolescence (13 to 25 age range), Larry represents being middle aged (30 to 50 age range), and Hassel represents one’s elder years (60 to 90 age range).
Larry is truly the man. He’s both a gym leader and a elite 4 at the same time, while also being a busy simple man like those IRL. No wonder he becomes a fan favourite so quickly. Maybe he should be the first Scarlet and Violet character to appear in Pokémon Masters.

I love that it kinda always seem that Larry might at some point display some crazy sort of passion all of a sudden but he never does, he is just a normal guy content with being average.
I like how the place where you are arven battle (before the pokemon bc Im guessing you battle him agian later) is the same place you guys have your first battle! It shows how much arven has grown as a person and it's a cherry on top he uses the same pokemon that worked along side you in getting the herba mysticas (including mabostiff) He is definally my favorite character in paldea and definallly in my top 5 in the entire series

Eri’s battle can be pretty tough, especially with a level disadvantage. Best typing against her team as a whole is Flying. My strategy was using a Dratini I caught and evolved to Dragonite, then taught it Rain Dance and Hurricane with a Damp Rock.

Apparently pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the best story line in a while. That why everyone wants to get the games and play them, I'm getting Violet on Christmas.
I hoghly recommend Scarlet instead, but it's your choice I have Violet and I am very disappointed by the designs of the Paradox pokemon, and I really like Fluttermane Koraidon is also arguably better designed than Miraidon
Dime was SO OP. It took out every pokemon except Poppy's tinkaton and Greeta's veluza, glimmora, kingambit, Gogoat and avalugg. Mikey basically beat the league with one pokemon

This video stunned me when you were battling the Elite Four. When I challenged the Elite Four, I remember thinking the music was so lame repeating the same... synth wave? Whatever you call that. But then I watched this and realized there's supposed to be a progression to the music as the battle goes on, and I was receiving a bug across all four of my battles where the music was stuck in the first 5 seconds.
In regards to Geeta being top champion when Nemona has beaten her, I chalk it up to Nemona still being a student and having school obligations while Nemona is a grown woman and chairwoman of the board. I.E. She's a grown woman and she makes the rules
That or Geeta didnt use her best team against either of you kinda how Nemona doesnt use her champion team on you till the very end. I think I heard you can rematch Geeta in postgame and she's significantly stronger.
So fun fact! If you give a wrong answer, Rika stands up and says 'Alright, well the guy outside will tell you how you did.' Then you leave and she grumbles, 'Dang, what happened there?' Then the dude tells you you failed, but you can immediately take it again. Then it's 100% the same dialog except when you pass this time she says, 'See? I knew you could do it. Don't know why you flubbed it the first time.' 🤣 And yes this is from personal experience 😅 I mixed up the town and the gym leader.
Eri's Revavroom gave me so much trouble, but that's cause I didn't have any Psychic or Flying types, Tinkaton's Play Rough kept missing, and it's immune to status... I actually beat Arven and the League before I was finally able to beat her
Since you were confused by this: It was explained at the beginning of the game that a "champion" in this region is simply any trainer who has passed the entire test and beaten La Primera. However beating La Primera doesn't make you the champion since..... well it's pretty ridiculous to think that a 10 year old child would have to now work a full time job as the champion.
"Why do you have to beat the champion to be the champion doesn't make any sense". Clearly Mikey never heard the phrase "To be the best you have to beat the best"

Also my Pokémon were practically at the same level (around 49-50) I just had a lot of BS misses and crits. Tinkaton sadly isnt that good outside of *BONK,* it's got like 75 base attack, which is *really* bad.

I like how the place where you are arven battle (before the pokemon bc Im guessing you battle him agian later) is the same place you guys have your first battle! It shows how much arven has grown as a person and it's a cherry on top he uses the same pokemon that worked along side you in getting the herba mysticas (including mabostiff)
He is definally my favorite character in paldea and definallly in my top 5 in the entire series
The rock specialist is the Math teacher, who is the twin sister of the Ghost Type Gym Leader.

Gotta love how in the Elite Four Larry is working his second minimum-wage job, Hassel bursts into tears when he loses, Poppy is a six year old and Rika is just babysitting them all.

I guess Paldea is different compared to other Regions. Because the Chairman and Champion in Galar are separate people. Rose and Leon (formerly). Geeta could still be the chairwoman but no longer be champion. What I think since Geeta created these rules and regulations. She gives higher power to herself therefore, she can’t and doesn’t have to resign her position whether it’s fair or not. Geeta gives off tyrant dictator vibes to me.
@@Keizer0724 champion is a title in paldea not a rank. if you have champion title your seen as a renowned trainer. geeta is the top champion because she has the job of it meaning the head of the pokemon league and the school.

How the "Professor" was talking about themselves in third person is a big hint that who you're talking to wasn't Sada at all. But some people would think that her words seem arrogant or "self indulgent". Where in reality, those that know the twist, know why they speak that way.
What gets me is that this doesn't seem to be unusual to Arven, which makes me think the real professor really did talk like that.
Eri’s battle can be pretty tough, especially with a level disadvantage. Best typing against her team as a whole is Flying. My strategy was using a Dratini I caught and evolved to Dragonite, then taught it Rain Dance and Hurricane with a Damp Rock.
I setup swords dance on my ceruledge while the toxicroak kept using sucker punch and swept with bitter blade

Dime was SO OP. It took out every pokemon except Poppy's tinkaton and Greeta's veluza, glimmora, kingambit, Gogoat and avalugg. Mikey basically beat the league with one pokemon
My crit fisher Gallade did the same. I won with basically just Gallade and Lucario.

This video stunned me when you were battling the Elite Four. When I challenged the Elite Four, I remember thinking the music was so lame repeating the same... synth wave? Whatever you call that. But then I watched this and realized there's supposed to be a progression to the music as the battle goes on, and I was receiving a bug across all four of my battles where the music was stuck in the first 5 seconds.

In regards to Geeta being top champion when Nemona has beaten her, I chalk it up to Nemona still being a student and having school obligations while Nemona is a grown woman and chairwoman of the board.
I.E. She's a grown woman and she makes the rules
That or Geeta didnt use her best team against either of you kinda how Nemona doesnt use her champion team on you till the very end. I think I heard you can rematch Geeta in postgame and she's significantly stronger.
So fun fact! If you give a wrong answer, Rika stands up and says 'Alright, well the guy outside will tell you how you did.' Then you leave and she grumbles, 'Dang, what happened there?' Then the dude tells you you failed, but you can immediately take it again. Then it's 100% the same dialog except when you pass this time she says, 'See? I knew you could do it. Don't know why you flubbed it the first time.' 🤣 And yes this is from personal experience 😅 I mixed up the town and the gym leader.
Actually, as wierd as it sounds, tinkaton's best base stat is its special defense, with a solid base 105

Eri's Revavroom gave me so much trouble, but that's cause I didn't have any Psychic or Flying types, Tinkaton's Play Rough kept missing, and it's immune to status... I actually beat Arven and the League before I was finally able to beat her

Since you were confused by this: It was explained at the beginning of the game that a "champion" in this region is simply any trainer who has passed the entire test and beaten La Primera. However beating La Primera doesn't make you the champion since..... well it's pretty ridiculous to think that a 10 year old child would have to now work a full time job as the champion.
Cassiopeia is the name of a constellation in the the night sky so astronomers would get a vibe saying “I knew it was you the whole time.”
