Techno technique question: there's synth lead (IINM it's 6 in 8 1-bar Euclidean rhythm) that appears first around 27:30. The fourth note in it has a distinct timbre, as though a bongo hit were crossfaded in at like 90% with 10% synth. My question is: how do you make it so the "bongo" sounds like an accent to the main lick rather than a distinct, "answering" voice?
I'm guessing the accent has to retain enough of the amplitude, timbre, pitch characteristics (including "envelope shapes" for those) from the base to ensure a sense of continuity; more variation in one of these dimensions requiring less in the others. But how is that achieved? One way in general would be using CV to change FM amount or opening up a filter envelope or such like, but in this case I can't tell how you'd get the accent tone by modulating the base patch, it sounds more like a separate patch/sample. So, like, is a preprogrammed pair of samples that work together? (I know ALX uses the Assimil8r...)
I think that's the legion being modulated by the Ts-L, then patch into the natural gate, and that is being modulated and then sending that audio through the GodFather. I love this patch because it's so dynamic that I can get so many tones out of it and then it's all about the sequence and modulating it. :) Here is a link to my modulargrid so you can see the case. My case is no longer with this setup, but that patch has been moved into a new case. It's a fav! :)

What in ears are they, are they just connected to the M1.4?
My in ears are by UE. I have a mixer in my Eurorack case too so I mostly listen there but I could cue on the Model 1.4 too.

@@closerau Yes, those are the ones! I use them mainly to cue because I am writing a new sequence while one is playing so those are the only ones I can really hear what's going on before I release to the wild LOL
