    Great video.... My question is does Gen fill create a lower resolution image in the areas that it corrects ??? If you pixel peep the finished project.

    • @phlearn

      It does. But you can enhance it with the new Enchance Feature in Photoshop Beta. Here is a tutorial on it:

    If on a tripod you can take multiple shots as they move around( hopefully) and then layer in the spots the moves from

    Aaron: quick question about this process > because you are selecting multiple portions of an image and then using ONE click of generative fill, does this mean you are being more efficient in using up Generative Fill credits on your account ?

    • @phlearn
      @phlearn  3 месяца назад

      Generative Fill credits are consumed per action, not per filled area. So, one click of "Generate" uses one credit regardless of how many selections you made. Having said that, filling multiple areas at once can save time compared to doing them individually. ☺

    @Aaron: You always come through in your videos! Only thing - for me, at least - is that my toolbars don't always look like yours. Can't figure out why.

    • @phlearn
      @phlearn  3 месяца назад

      you can definetively customize your toolbar!
      To edit the toolbar go to Edit > Toolbar.
      Then click on the three dots icon in the upper left corner of the toolbar and select Edit Toolbar.
      Once the menu is open, you can customize the toolbar using drag and drop functionality.

    Is there a reason why you chose generative fill over the remove tool?

    • @phlearn
      @phlearn  3 месяца назад +1

      Both Generative Fill and the Remove tool in Photoshop help you get rid of unwanted elements in your image, but they go about it in different ways.
      Generative Fill analyzes the surrounding area and uses that information to create a realistic fill for the selected area.
      The remove tool works by content-aware sampling of the surrounding pixels.

    I don't know if this is the right place to share this AI use. I take a lot of cooked food pics on a plate. My background is dull. So I use select subject to capture the plate of food and then control J to put that selection on another layer. Then return to the original photo and hit control A and then in generative fill I describe a tablecloth. The advantage for me is then I can select the plate layer and use the move tool to center the plate because the AI layer is solid which it would not be if I had simply inverted my first selection. I hope this is clear. Thanks for all your videos.

      Hey there! You might need to customize keyboard shortcuts. Follow the steps below:
      Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts (or Window > Workspace > Keyboard Shortcuts & Menus and click the Keyboard Shortcuts tab).
      In the Set menu at the top, choose the shortcut set you want to modify (default is likely "Adobe Photoshop Defaults").
      From the Shortcuts For menu, select Tools. This will show a list of all tools and their current shortcuts.
      Find the tool you want to assign a shortcut to.
      In the Shortcut column, click on the existing shortcut (if any) to overwrite it.

      When using generative fill to remove people from complex backgrounds, AI rarely gets everything right, so then it takes skill to make things look realistic and good. AI is still a huge time saver, though.
