Seriously you have to mash your face buttons during Fatal Blow. It’ll add about 4% damage, unless your opponent is mashing as well, then it’ll even out to 35%. If you do a fatal blow and do not mash but your opponent does it’ll decrease your damage to around 31%.

I'll admit I'm not actually an MK1 player (yet) but I play a lot of some other fighters (mostly For Honor). I think I have some advice about Omni-Chan. What you should have learned fighting that Shang Tsung is what makes Omni-man un-zoneable. The only way for your opponent to punish you for instantly entering kissing distance from flight is by reading which direction you're going to go. When they read an option, they are open to the other options they didn't read. At 16:00 you hit the Shang with the overhead while he goes for a low. I'm pretty sure this is because he was reading you would go for the behind him option (like you had and been punished for every other time). Every time you got punished for teleporting behind him, he was already swinging because that's the only way to not get eaten by Omni-man. I'm pretty sure Omni-man has 3 approach options out of the flight (front, top, behind) so it's literally rock paper scissors.

I think the fatal blow at the end did less damage because Shang Tsung had a shield on.
No it’s because the opponent was mashing buttons during the attack. If you mash during FB then you do more damage but if you mash while getting attacked you take less damage. If both are mashing then it’s just a contest of who can mash faster. Kinda like a mid fight “Test your Might” ✌️

Omni Chan can also optimal off his air dive. Jus press 3 then bf4 when they're at the bottom of the bounce jus like the normal optimal route. Then f3 ex viltrum grab or stand 3 ex viltrum grab. Good vids btw👍we have super similar fighting styles.
