So glad youre experiencing Gods own county. The Yorkshire Dales are anazing and you have even more wonderful sights to see. Definitely have a drink at Tan Hill ( highest pub in England) then head to Teesdale and its wondeful waterfalls and High Cup Nick. Thanks for your brilliant videos and bright, positive naration. We look forward to your daily updates.
Wow Christina you are amazing to get to Horton-in-Ribblesdale that is one hell of a walk & climbing up Peny-ghent so late in the day in fog ... so brave. Enjoy your rest tonight. Xx
Right from Gargrave to Horton through Malham is just some of the best the PW has to offer. The climb up Pen-Y-Ghent scared the heck out of me in the wind. Just a pity the mist was down for you. Malham Cove is just an incredible place. Loving joining you on this journey!
Apart from the wonderful video Christina, the music you edit into them really adds to the experience, they are very professionally done, considering you are not making these from the comfort of your own home. Looking forward to tomorrows.
Hi Christina, I'm really enjoying your videos, I'm so envious. The Pennine Way has never been on my bucket list, but I wished it had been. I've done a few long distance walks with my late walking buddy, and as he use to say, "we got into walking to late in our lives". I watch your journey everyday, fantastic, keep going, have fun and enjoy.
I'm impressed ! I know that area very well & I know how far you walked, which was no little achievement, especially climbing two mountains - Fountains Fell & Pen-y-Ghent - in less than perfect weather.
Hello Christina, great scenes I did not know that we had in the UK always lived on the south coast close to the sea. Good of you to take us along with you. Best Wishes. Andrew.
I'm really enjoying your beautiful videos. Such a shame you didn't get to see the views up on fountains fell and pen y ghent. But you made good time to arrive before dark.
Beautiful music on the Pen y Ghent footage. I'm watching your WHW and Cape Wrath adventure while I wait for the latest Pennine Way instalment. Really hope your channel blows up. Utmost respect to you and such enjoyable and calming videos to watch. Love from UK.
I am really enjoying your videos and cannot wait for the next to drop! In the meantime, I've started watching your previous coast to coast adventure. It's way more enjoyable than anything on Netflix! I can only manage about 8 miles a day with my old arthritic joints so the Pennine Way is way beyond my abilities now but your videos are the next best thing. I hate walking through fields of cows but perhaps calling them Margaret keeps them happy and calm. I shall try that.
Loving your videos. I have been doing the PW this year in sections (2 / 3/ 4 days at a time), so each one of your vids is bringing back great memories. I still have 4 days (60 miles) to go. I'll probably do thta next spring. Good luck with the rest of your adventure.
Was really rooting for some views for you from the tops... Hope you have some for GT Shunner today... Top tip at the tarm below the summit of GT shunner you can keep your feet dry by going round the right hand side - the path is just bog there! 😊
Good Day Christina. Malham Cove added to my bucket list! One foot slightly larger than the other? Me too and many others. I wear as many as three socks on one foot and two on the other. The rule is: if you're right-handed, the left foot will be bigger. I'm sure I have one ear bigger than the other too! Where does this madness end??
Hi Christina my wife had a Fitbit and we found it always read more miles than that was done. Not sure how accurate they are, maybe it gives a few extra miles to make you feel happy with yourself doing so much😀 best wishes on the trail, david
Pleased you made it to Horton in Ribblesdale before it got dark it was a shame you didn't get any views from either Fountains Fell or Penh-ghent, I hope it is clear for you when you get to High Cup Nick as it is worth seeing.
Hi, enjoying your journey along the Pennine way, just a thought is it the OS map app you are using if so you can download the maps to your phone, so do not need a signal to see the maps.
I don't know if you are a Harry Potter fan but the scenes where Harry, Hermione and Ron are camping whilst on the run in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" were filmed at Malham Cove. I'm looking forward to your video when you get to High Cup Nick - that will be pretty special, too 😀
I have bad memories of pen-y-ghent.hiking in 95f heat and stupidly taking my t-shirt of.by the time I got back to malham I looked like a barbecued lobster.was not a pleasent experience.😩
Omg you became an overcooked lobster? Id just turned black.I dont have heat tolerance!! And I dont like getting baked in the sun and turning dark. Id prefer cloudy.
Great video, really enjoying your journey. The OS App seems to have a quirk with offline maps. It still try's to load them from the Internet first, then loads the downloaded one, this means that if you have a weak signal it can do what you saw, but if it has no signal at all, it seems to work better 🤷♀

i am so impressed that you're doing this is Oct/Nov. Really enjoying watching you. It's inspiring me to give it a go....next year!
I'm impressed !

Suprise to see someone tackling it so late in season , hope the weather is kind to you till the end . Malham looked very atmospheric.

WOW that brought back memories of a geology trip that i went on from collage to Mallam Tarn and Waterfall.. Thank you.
Malham Cove is such a cool place!

Aww thank you. yea, unfortunately ill have to hike it first before producing the next episode. Lol. My CWT and SNT series are pretty good i think. :)

Well done. Especially tonight, when the clag is right down low in Upper Ribblesdale.
i still can't believe you are doing this at this time of year thanks for your videos we have enjoyed watching them
Malham is an awesome place whatever the weather - walking up the side of the cove to the top is a cheesy steep bit but worth the view!
Very nice video even with the clag trying to get in on the act. That B and B looks perfect.
What is clag? What are you talking about?
@@hikersheep Clag is mist ,fog or low level cloud.
"get in on the act" means to gatecrash or join in on something as an univited guest.
@@knavesmire007 oh. Never heard it called clag before.

If it’s any consolation my Pen-y-Ghent experience was identical to yours, but mine was in mid-July. Hope that the weather improves for you.
Bobo must be very proud. Very good walking & content. Go well.
Oh BOBOOOO!!! I wish he was here

@@sam.midford right hand side...got it! Cheers! :D
I’m sorry to say that my best friend’s ashes were scattered on Pen-Y-Ghent. He loved hiking the Dales just like you!
Do you keep pinching yourself that you are really walking through such beautiful countryside? Another brilliant video. Keep enjoying it 😊
You have hit my paradise... well, if you see a steam engine going over the Ribbles head viaduct

It is only sometimes accurate then. Hehe

Ok. I downloaded the next area im gonna walk tomorrow.
Onwards and upwards Christina
So still lots of other people out n about with tents!!

I have not watched one Harry Potter film unfortunately 😑

Whattt??? Thats so weirddd
DID GORDALE SCAR UP THE WATERFALL TO MALHAM TARN THEN BACK DOWN MALHAM COVE,, WHEN WE WERE AT SCHOOL IN THE 80S,,,IT NEARLY KILLED US THAT WALK LOL
could all the times you walk back for your camera after filming the walk by account for some of the milage difference
I dont do that but 1-2 times. Almost all the time, i film my point of view
Such a shame you had no viability at the top of Pen-y-Ghent as on a clear day you can see for miles and miles all around.
Sigh...ill do PW again in different month.
I don’t know which book you are using, but I pretty much guarantee it’s your Fitbit that’s wrong. They are not known for accuracy!
I agree!! It lies! Only accurate sometimes. 50 pct of the time
