Seeing this again in 2024, I was curious on what the brothers were doing now and also wanted to confirm whether or not they're actually brothers. The place I got the most information from was their telegram in which from 2021-2022 they posted to their fans of their lives, and here is what I gathered:
-Yes, they are brothers. One of their posts was a picture of them when they were kids and they very much seem to be legitimate twins.
-They moved away from Russia to avoid being forced to be part of the military against Ukraine (I dont know the proper wording of it but thats how I understood it) and they heavily support Ukraine
-From Russia they moved to Indonesia, with many updates of travel and some financial struggles
-They got into cryptocurrency
-Around 2022 they were talking about getting "costumes" for their "wedding(joke!)". they also posted about the suits being tailored for them
-The third guy in the chair might've been their close friend they mention a few times in the telegram who also left Russia with them
-At some point they started an OF together
-They were off TikTok for a while when Russia banned/restricted the app and talked about trying to come back to it when they had access to American TikTok
-Their account ended up banned despite a repeal request
-Posted about planning to move to America as the final place, however at this time the telegram timeline ended so Im not sure of their location for sure
-Last Insta post was in Indonesia, and their most recent final post was on Facebook in which they were going to leave social media and content creation around August 19, 2024
I'll be so honest. Scrolling through their telegram I think they are actually into each other. As someone with four siblings, I can NOT picture myself almost making out with any of them for clout and posing like we were lovers. Especially if this was happening for years. The show itself wasn't trying to be offensive but bc of the time and place it was written, as well as the subject matter the show centers around (saturizing problematic and strange fanservice tropes that were popular among girls in japan) it can contain some pretty triggering stuff. There is also frequent use of the T word in reference to the Haruhi's dad (who isn't even really trans, he's just a bisexual crossdresser who works at a drag bar and is one of the BEST characters in the entire show) and there is a triggering scene in episode 8 where there is a staged "r*pe threat" that was played off as fanservice but i would argue is (at the very least borderline) sexual assault.
