I'm late, but the ghost's hitbox is smaller than it looks, you pretty much have to nail their nose with the center of the beam. I made a friend of mine rage quit because I can play bullet hell games and I won because I got behind him when he and his girlfriend caught me in a corner and attempted to close me in.
