If you want bomb pick Tornado, if you want to have a chance in fighting enemies pick mig.
It doesn‘t make them more resistent to CMs. However you can lock an enemy with Radar in a head-on, pull away to dodge and if you spool up the seeker it will still lock onto the target even though you don‘t lock at it. I hope this is understandable, I‘m not a native english speaker.

And don`t bother launching r60 from more than 3km they won`t do jack shit only if your enemy is slow or not paying attention at all.

4 r-60mks for up close and 2 r-13m1s for a bit more range and flare resistance, I like to do strafes over the middle of guys not paying attention.. I usually pick up 2-3 kills doing that. But the best general advice I could give is to not turn to hard cus you loose all of ur energy

My friend talked me into getting the mig 21 lazur, even though he knows I’m terrible at dog fighting. I’m honestly thinking about buying the tornado since I’m a lot better as a strike aircraft.

The tornado gets constant downtimes favored, where the lazur M gets up tiered every single match to 12.0. It's a good plane/ dogfighter but absolutely ineffective at 12.0. You can maybe sometimes have good games with the mig, but with the tornado and bombing bases you're guaranteed points even if you don't get a kill. With the lazur M if you don't get a kill or die instantly then you get absolutely nothing. So the tornado is a much more efficient grinder but not a great plane to fly for dogfighting and fights.
The tornado is good, but you need to have time to fly with it and bomb bases. The missiles are not bad, but only 2. Azure is suitable for air battles. Think about what you want, bomb or fight
