There has never been a song in the history of the Universe, that guitar players looked up and wanted to play that Marty didnt have a lesson for. Can we just get this dude into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame now? A true legend who is contributing to the continuation of the art of music, rock and guitar.
I kind of forgot about this song (my bad!) and heard it on RUclips music on the commute home. I was overjoyed to see that you already had a lesson on this. I love that you cover the structure of the song rather than just showing use the notes. Thanks!
Man I love it. Reminds me of back when my sister was dating a guy that had a practically brand new 67 GTO that we probably almost got killed in that MFER. Those were fun times but I don't miss those 8 track tapes but I enjoyed the heck out of the music of the time. Booker T & The MG's, something like that, was the last 8 track tape I had that finally got so messed up it couldn't be rewound back inside because it was such a spaghetti mess. The music & the hot cars were what that period was all about. Marty I'm really glad you're into this kind of stuff. So glad that since I picked up the guitar again after getting too busy & tied up when I was young, nother story but I'm getting back into it & I've fired my guitar teacher so I'm gonna hire you.😁👍😎
Marty, Marty, Marty! Do you ever read the comments section? I'm only wondering because I remember thanking you many years ago for your help with a tricky song. Anyway, here I am to thank you again. I've been playing for years and am self taught. That doesn't make it much easier to figure out those tricky ones though. I knew how to play Green Onions. It was one of the first ones I learned as a kid, or Novice. I did learn a little sumthin from this lesson though. So thank you kindly for that. I'm very happy to see you still at it after all this time. Us music lovers and guitar players will keep on rocking until we are old and grey... Like you and I now 😅. Cheers Marty. I really like everything you do for us guitar students. Novice, intermediate and advanced. You got it bro. Keep up the good work. ✌️ (P. S. I saw Neil Young play up here in Toronto with the MGs as his back up band. It was amazing. What an outfit. They were solid as a rock.) 🎵🎸🤘
Hey Marty i know it’s not related to this song but have you got any advice to play the d chord because for some reason when I play it it basically muted the bottom 3 strings or made them buzz
@@dirkulbricht9985I’m not sure but sounds kinda like SRV’s Pride and Joy. It’s like SRV uses a similar rhythm (probably just typical blues) and borrows the D flat and A flat notes briefly that makes the song more like an F minor key but he plays it in E flat major?
Booker T and The MG's Blues classic. Marty keep these awesome lessons coming. You are best guitar 🎸 instructor on the internet hands down. ❤❤❤
Thanks! Will do!

What a classic for guitar standards. Bluesy with fashion. Gotta love those chords jabs and the twangy tone
