This instrumental song and Grandpa Jones words reminded me of two passages in the Old King James Version of The Bible and they are both in The New Testament of The Old King James Version of The Bible: The first passage is in The Book of 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 in particularly verse 13 "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity".. and the second passage is in The Book of Revelations in chapter 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me"..
I cant listen to this any more. I start crying & cant stop. Used to enjoy listening. So much has gone to hell these days. Seems like hope & faith are forever gone.
My dear friend, the beautiful thing about faith Hope and charity is that, regardless of our belief in them or lack there of, much like our blessed Lord, they always exist. The popularity of a thing does not determine that things existence, it merely determines the state of our morality, and though in these days we might seem to have little of it, there will always be a chosen few. We may look at this world and recognize its flaws, and we may grieve the loss of our collective piety, after all, to recognize these things is necessary in order to repair them, but we must never despair. As I have told my students on more than one occasion, God understands if we fail, but He doesn’t understand if we don’t try. for all that is wrong with this world, this is still the happiest time of the year as far as I’m concerned. Tomorrow our Savior is born in all of His great glory, and nothing, not even the decline of our society‘s belief in that truth can ever diminish its Majesty. God love you my friend, and I hope you have a merry Christmas.
I have always loved this story

I think hope and faith does still exist. It may be hard to find but it is out there.

I still have faith in My Lord Jesus, and hope that there is still good will in people's hearts, maybe even in my own heart.
