@@hourlynewscaster And now I'm back...listening to this again Christmas 2021. It's been an entire year, but seems just like yesterday that I was a kid, in simpler times and listening to PH. Good Day. Thanks for this....it means ALOT
Still brings tears to my eyes. How good our Lord is. We were blessed to have Paul Harvey for a time. I look forward to seeing him in heaven with our Lord Christ Jesus.
I'm 63 now, and I remember as a child laying in bed listening to this voice on the radio every night as he would end every show with the words GOOD DAY. My knowledge of the news around the world grew, the funny but common sense statements was a trade mark I LOVED. MAY GOD BLESS YOU MR. HARVEY.
I am 75 years old and loved the Paul Harvey time on the radio, let me share something that came to me through the word of God, the only begotten son of God was his word Jesus for God said I send forth my son not to condemn the world, but to save the world and God said I send my word and it comes back to me not in vain but fulfilled and John call Jesus the word of God and Jesus said I go unto my Father and your Father my God and your God brethren and he was not a shame to call them that, hope that in this you too can see why Jesus never call him self God or tried to make a name of himself just reminded the people they had a God that loves them !...
@staciehaupt2229 I first heard him at my grandma's house, as well. The noon whistle would blow, I'd run inside for lunch, and we'd listen to Paul Harvey on the AM radio. I'm almost 50 years old now & can honestly say those were the happiest times of my life.
I took Paul Harvey for granted. Because he was there every day at noon I assumed he always would be. Oh how I miss him :( Around here you knew the true farmers, we all stopped at 12:05 to listen to Paul.
He has been gone for some time now and I'm sure he will be missed for years to come As for me i will always miss him he was a great radio person who was down to Earth with people.
I surly miss this man's wisdom and real news. I believe the whole USA would stop what they were doing at noon everyday to listen to this man. Too bad we don't have journalists like this around today.
MR. HARVEY was the voice of all AMERICA. He gave us hope. he set us straight when we needed truth and always made us realize we are blesses to be in this COUNTRY..
Precious memories of listening to Paul Harvey with my Mom everyday weekday until I was school age and then afterwards in the summers. He is an American Icon. Sure do miss those days.
I’m from England and by accident stumbled on this wonderful man when I listened to the birds a short story, what a lovely voice. Truly a beautiful soul. Have listened now over the Christmas period. Words of wisdom.
I remember coming home from Our Lady of victory Grammar School in the early 70's. Wednsday was a half day. Mom would always have my lunch ready. And always Paul Harvey's would be on the radio. Great memories. Still tell mom about those days today.
Paul Harvey was quite amazing. Growing up in Corning, New York my parents never missed his broadcasts on our hometown station, WCLI, where I began my broadcasting career as a teenage DJ, Dec. 1955. Fast forward many years later and after several stops along the way I became a news correspondent on the ABC Radio Network. Harvey rarely came to New York but once he did in the early 70's and I got to meet him. He bought breakfast for all of us in the newsroom. It was a very "Good Day!" Bill Diehl, ABC News Radio. Sorry, my daughter was logged in to RUclips but this is from me.
When I was a kid My family and I would here these stories on the AM radio. WDAF 61 Country out of Kansas City. We lived about 120 miles SW of Kansas City in a small farming community that hardly had any radio stations to listen to at all. But this station was a good one! Damn it's amazing how far the AM radio waves would travel!
Paul Harvey, one of the best patriots of our great country. Perhaps, the best story teller of all time. His mastery of the language and it's spoken form is beyond comparison. I have been benefiting from his thoughts and his expressions of the many good women and men of the USA for 50 years, and will re-listen to him each time I feel down and self pitying. Dr. Dennis Becker, Founder of The Speech Improvement Company,Inc.
I also am a fan of radio and loved every Paul Harvey broadcast. I recorded some of the broadcasts, as well, mostly on cassettes. Thank you so much for sharing. This still brings tears to my eyes. He was certainly a messenger from God.
I remember being in first grade listening to Mr.Harvey with my great-grandmother in her car before school, grew up listening to him. He was a incredible news reporter, a genuine, intelligent man that I will never forget. Bless you Mr. Harvey, rest in peace sir. Good day.
He left a mark on me a lot times when I tell a story I'll end it with his favorite saying an that saying is . THAT IS THE REAST OF THIS STORY GOOD DAY .I LOVEED THAT . THAT IS GOOD .
thanks for your contribution! Use to always listen to Paul Harvey at noon daily as a boy and a young man. Nearly always right on. (Heard him preach one time at the Dallas First Baptist, I think, saw it on TV.)
I was a very young man the first time I heard the voice of a man named Paul Harvey. I was hooked ever since. His voice, a special voice, and the mannerisms god gave to this man was meant to do exactly what he did... bring joy, relaxation and hope to everyone that listened. Good day.
Shit ! I am from India - maybe i am Hindu and just 28 i seriously admire this man - I think is a forgotten Gem of USA - He is not only a true Nationalist but let me call him " The Last Righteous Man of The United States of America " God Bless you all
I enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey, also. I recorded 3 of his broadcasts, myself, which are the hardships the signers of the Declaration of Independence went through, July 3, 1982, "What are Fathers Made of", June 19, 1983, and a retelling of "The Man and the Birds", Christmas Eve, 1983.
i will never ever lose you my friend and i want you too know i really duu need you in my life tnku for all you duu for mee tnku 'n may god bless you and angel
I was very young listening to his, That's the rest of the story. on radio. Somehow he spoke in a way that I could understand the importance of his broadcast. Being older hearing the Devil Speech I'm reminded that he warned America and they didn't listen then. Let's not let America go just yet. IDK I guess it hit me in the feels. Lol
I was four or so years old or so when I first hearing them thru family listening to the Paul Harvey talk radio.what a great legend he was.an great icon.🙏✝️👍💯
The actual title of that parable is "The Man and the Birds" -- and Paul Harvey recorded a more polished version backed by a music track created by Bill Pursell and his Orchestra in 1975 for Word Records. That definitive version turns up in Hour 1 of the 10 hour Yuletide countdown radio special "The 100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time." Wink Martindale hosts the award-winning special which is syndicated around the world by Envision Networks.
The Paul Harvey LP on the Word label is called "Our Lives, Our Fortunes, Our Sacred Honor" and, needless to say, is not easy to find but you might locate one on half.com or amazon, com. The narrations on the LP cover a wide range of topics and "The Man and The Birds" is the only track with a Yuletide theme. As far as I know "The Man and the Birds" has only been reissued once since it's debut on LP and that was when it appeared on the Christmas volume in Reader's Digest Music's CD series "Reflections: Inspirational Words and Music."
Jesus was Jewish. And so were most of the writers, inspired by God, of the New Testament. I'm glad you're listening to the Christmas story here. And remember, no people group: Jewish, Arab, Asian, African, Indian, etc. has no monopoly on sin. We are all flawed and in need of a Savior. Please get rid of your hatred for the Israeli people. Your display of disdain for them, or anyone, makes your opinions you post here irrelevant. May God bless and guide you.
AMWAY " the american way".. I used l the soaps . Great product WAS ,very good business if you put the time in..!! "L.O.C" Legacy of Clean MY DEAR MOM LOVED IT !!. I LOVE MY COUNTRY MORE THAN EVER ...............'GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. " I am old and wiser,, and Love the LORD JESUS.. sooo much.. amen!
The man who stayed home shared my reasoning about religion, (but probably not God). I figured at the beginning of the story, the end would not stand to reason either. We are human, and God did not give us the brains of a bird. The man was figuring out reality, and that is what God wants us to do.
That's Paul Harvey. Now you know....the rest of the story. While you go through the Amway catalogue, you can drink coffee made in your B U N...N...coffee maker.
That GOD came to earth as a man in JESUS, must be the greatest blatant lie disseminated by Christianity, next to their portrayal of GOD as an INDIVIDUAL UP somewhere, in effect rendering the gullible "Believers" GODLESS, for GOD IS and IS IN ALL HIS CREATION. Any wonder why humanity is so lost and Satan inhabited, most mentally disturbed.
every year i listen to this im 63 and still find it heart warming as i did years ago
As a truck driver i looked forward to listening to Paul Harvey while on the road. Such a one of a kind broadcaster
Yeah was so excited when the clock it 12pm. Was Paul Harvey time when I was on the road.
How I used to love listening to this man on the radio every day at noon.
As did I. Never wanted to miss a second of his broadcast. RIP with your ANGEL, PAUL HARVEY. ❤
And at 5:30 on the drive home.
The year is now 2020...almost 2021. How I want to go back to 1965....
Yes, those were wonderful times. Thanks for being here. Dennis
Yes i totally agree Kevin . times were much simpler and people had more personality . lord i could go on and on about the stories

I think most rural Americans feel exactly as you do.
He has been gone for some time now and I'm sure he will be missed for years to come As for me i will always miss him he was a great radio person who was down to Earth with people.
One of the most important voices that ever graced American airwaves. Just for the record, he had a great number of city bred fans as well!
To be honest , I have never thought he would be gone. My family as well as myself , miss him
I miss him too
I surly miss this man's wisdom and real news. I believe the whole USA would stop what they were doing at noon everyday to listen to this man. Too bad we don't have journalists like this around today.

My Dad and I listened to Paul Harvey every night in Ohio. I do miss the 70's.
Saw him live in Sun City Az. in the nineties. Such a memory!
The voice that lets us all remember great days and times of our past. Few can do that.
Paul Harvey was a American treasure I do wish his son would continue the rest of the story!

great to hear a classic Paul Harvey Broadcast.
Ty Paul Harvey for your wisdom n guidance. There will be no one quite like you.R.I.P.
At the company I worked at we planned our lunches around his noon broadcast. Nobody spoke as we listened to the radio. What a tremendous loss
Thank you for re-broadcasting this part of important broadcasting history...Paul Harvey's style set a template.
Ahhhh Mr. Harvey, you're still the greatest.
How I miss those noon day broadcasts of Paul Harvey.
I started to listen to him in Italy when my step dad was stationed there from 1974 to 1977. With no American TV, Paul Harvey and AFN kept us going!

I listen to this particular broadcast every year no matter where I am. I think it is as moving and as memorable as it was 53 years ago.

Would you happen to have Paul Harvey's Christmas Day broadcast from 1978?
I was four or so years old or so when I first hearing them thru family listening to the Paul Harvey talk radio.what a great legend he was.an great icon.🙏✝️👍💯
Yeppers. He was a staple of daily life growing up in Iowa

Really...I got to find that. I've heard or seen many "self-made" videos..and wish I could read a third as well and get the message across.
The Paul Harvey LP on the Word label is called "Our Lives, Our Fortunes, Our Sacred Honor" and, needless to say, is not easy to find but you might locate one on half.com or amazon, com. Amway would fire Harvey tomorrow, if he said any of this on Christmas in the present.
In my humble opinion PAUL HARVEY was the "Great Communicator" not
Ronald Reagan... Paul Harvey was much more of a inspiration ...
Reagan and Harvey were BOTH great communicators. Miss them both a great deal.
Paul Harvey had an episode on "the rest of the story" about Currier and Ives. Does anyone have the script to it or the audio?
He wrote books.. that story may be in one of them.....
Dear George, don't worry. I'm going to say Merry Christmas to people till the day God calls on me.
It's sad that even the very expression 'Merry Christmas' is now gone from the common language.
No it’s not.
No, it's not. Knock off the bullshit.
I miss you Paul.
Sadly in 2021 Paul Harvey would get cancelled! He’s rolling over in his grave with today’s media and society.
A man way ahead of his time or it just the word f God just explain Ed in a saving way
And Now For The Rest of the Story
Jesus was Jewish. And so were most of the writers, inspired by God, of the New Testament.

Like a modern day apostle.
By the way, Harvey's broadcasts were always labeled "News and Commentary."
📖🙏🏼📖
gooday
They only thing Mr. Harvey was wrong about was only half wrong if said "it's his birthday not yours" but it is my Birthday.
The man who stayed home shared my reasoning about religion, (but probably not God). I figured at the beginning of the story, the end would not stand to reason either. We are human, and God did not give us the brains of a bird. The man was figuring out reality, and that is what God wants us to do.
Same to communism. God did not give man the brains of a colony of ants.
He could have wrote this yesterday
That's Paul Harvey. Now you know....the rest of the story.
While you go through the Amway catalogue, you can drink coffee made in your B U N...N...coffee maker.
😳 WOW! THEY USED TO MAKE STUFF HERE?😏
Don’t really
Get this one. He sank to his knees in prayer.
Formula of life matt asher you tube.
I love Paul Harvey ,
But this is just an Amway commercial.
Obviously he didn't know that that "SECOND COMING" occurred in 1844 -1863!!! Hope that he learned of it before his passing.
