New subscriber! Your Defender is incredible looking, what a beast! What an adventure you are on! I wish I had done something like this when I was younger. I was surprised to see how much condensation and water infiltration you get with the FWC. I've watched other owners of this type of pop up camper draw attention to this design issue. I guess its always a compromise. I couldn't imagine crossing the world in a camper I didn't have a permanent and dedicated wet bath in, everyone is different. I love your can do and positive attitude. You will have quite a video history to show your children and grand children one day! Happy trails!
Wow that comment has made my day 😊 Receiving such amazing feedback about the videos really gives us so much more motivation to continue making them. We are having so much fun and will continue to do this as long as we can. Please share the channel with anyone you know that might want to join us for the ride 😉 Thank you so much.
For sure the condensation is a down side to the pop top camper. The way I figure it we are in a fancy tent after all... The only way to eliminate is full ventilation and no heating. This means e stress layers while sleeping. If we want to run the heater we know the next day we'll have water dripping from the ceiling. It's ok as long as we are vigilant in wiping it all up.
What an incredible adventure! It started looking so bleak, so much water yet quite desolate, almost no trees. Then it all changed as you ascended the mountain range. They kinda looked like how i would imagine a 'dragons teeth' to be. Amazing! its 41c here atm, so it was quite refreshing to observe you guys going through all that snow, and the blizzard! Great footage!. Thank you for sharing :) Peace!

GrizzlyNbear Overland I believe Leigh implicitly, he said the Coopers are good - I bought some, he said the Mudstuff mirrors were good, I bought some etc. etc. So if he says you’re 42....
When you go across Uzbekistan, you can just pay them like $10 and they will let you go. Same applies to most countries from southeast Asian and poor countries in Middle East.
We only put them on for practice and drove a couple hundred meters. Needed to make sure they were not going to rub on the inside as we had removed our spacers. Thanks for the advice anyway but we knew already. That's why we bought 2 sets 😉
Hello We use a combination of free gps apps. Maps.me, Offline maps and navigation and OSMAN maps are the 3 we use the most. They are all great and can be used Offline by downloading the map of the country you intend to travel beforehand. There is absolutely no need to buy fancy gps systems these days. Maps.me even has detailed hiking and offroad trails.
Hello mate I had it in high range 4x4 the entire time we were on the areas covered with snow. The road itself was in good condition and because we chose to retreat that first night by the next morning the entire mountain pass had the salt / grit gravel mix laid down. This meant no black ice had formed. Those guys have a tough job, they work around the clock to keep that road open all winter. We crossed in late November, imagine in February!

Awesome love from India🥰🥰🥰
The beginning, that was the very best...LOL
From India...Enjoy.
Hah. When someone asks you what the temperature was you could say “There wasn’t one “. LoL
I would have to say, I over heard the 285 number, I had 285/75x16 Goodyear Kevlar on my Discovery. Had a hard time finding a set that fit properly as well.
Travel on ... 🤙🏼
Saludos desde Argentina!

What was the reason for no diesel in Uzbekistan?
I cried while watching it.. Especially from 05:00 to 06:00 .. Why?
Gods creation is wonderfull
very first impression of the channel was, " no way are they camping in a pop-up camper in winter", a few minutes later, "we are getting an apartment for the winter.
We thought about it but after some really cold and frosty nights realised that it probably wasn't a good idea 😉❄️
@@leighdearle5965 I live in Canada, and spend a lot of time outside in the winter, do winter camping, have built snow shelters, and knowing what type of materials are used in pop-ups knew there was just no way. Unless your clothes, sleeping bags etc were all artic rated it was just not a good idea.
Very bad chains on the front wheel 3.45min.
Which changed to the rear wheels, 2.40min the ladder is called Super. Hey. From Almaty Kazakhstan
Have a safe trip 😁

Hey thanks so much for the comment.
We haven't lost the drone yet but we did nearly lose it in Morocco a few times.
I was still learning to fly it during this trip 😜
I have also crashed twice but no serious damage.
Actually we are getting the drone serviced at the moment 😉
Greetings from US Army, Atlantic. Cheers.
Which company vehicle are used you
Good luck
The gentleman seems to have an Aussie accent. Is he from Australia and can’t pick the ladies accent. Just stumbled across your channel. Such awesome content. Do you have a Facebook page also? Would love to follow your travels!! Dan
Hey Dan ! Welcome to our channel. Right pick on the Aussie accent. Steph is from France. We have a Facebook page (but not very active there) We have Instagram also. GrizzlyNbear Overland. Thank You.
GrizzlyNbear Overland great! Must be in the blood. So many adventurous Aussies! And French for that matter 😀
That was a good one, thanks. Have you tried the Coopers in deep snow - any good? Happy Birthday Steph - looking good for 42!
I m 33. 😆 We did and they performed very well. You can see a short video on our Facebook page. GrizzlyNbear.
Steph's going to bash me now... 😜
The Coopers absolutely chewed through the snow mate.
Like Steph said check out the little video on Facebook.
A future RUclips video will have all the action from my time playing in deep snow 😉❄️
GrizzlyNbear Overland I believe Leigh implicitly, he said the Coopers are good - I bought some, he said the Mudstuff mirrors were good, I bought some etc. etc. So if he says you’re 42....
Joking btw...
@@Jason-cl8hk you're going to get me in trouble 😜
Классная машина👍
When you go across Uzbekistan, you can just pay them like $10 and they will let you go. Same applies to most countries from southeast Asian and poor countries in Middle East.
What’s factory specs on the truck?
It's a 2010 2.4 Land Rover Defender 130 Puma
GrizzlyNbear Overland thanks. Found your other vlog on the truck
By the way. You are only supposed to put chains on the front/back.
We only put them on for practice and drove a couple hundred meters.
Needed to make sure they were not going to rub on the inside as we had removed our spacers.
Thanks for the advice anyway but we knew already.
That's why we bought 2 sets 😉
What system/s are you using for navigation?
Hello
We use a combination of free gps apps.
Super vidéo magnifique bravo cool
Bleak and beautiful at the same time. No chains but were you in high or low range 4WD over the pass?
Hello mate
I had it in high range 4x4 the entire time we were on the areas covered with snow.
