It is a privilege to listen in Arshad sir's insightful discussion. He painted a vivid portrayal of Saudi Arabia and its society during the 7th century. It would have added an extra layer of richness to the narrative if Arvind sir had shared black-and-white photographs depicting Saudi Arabia in the 1940s or 1950s, prior to the discovery of oil. I have personally come across such images, revealing individuals riding donkeys with sunburned and darkened skin, displaying weathered yellow teeth, disheveled and tangled dry hair, as well as long hairs protruding from their noses and ears. These individuals, lacking regular baths for months.

Exactly that’s how their prophet used to look. Imagine 14,00 years ago how backward he must be.
It appears there is a stark resemblance between Hindus and Saudis. Indians also use donkeys for transportation in many villages and cities. Many Hindus also don't take bath for years, grow nose, ears, head, beard, armpit and pubic hairs. Many Hindus also don't cut their nails and they also have yellow teeth. Majority of Hindus also have sunburned and darkened skin.

The answer to Arvind's question of how to reforms muslims society is for the government in India to prohibit madarsa education OR at the least to reform the syllabus and to inculcate a feeling of tolerance in muslims. Secondly, stop killing of animals at home. This killing of living beings makes muslims insensitive to the pain of others. In fact, they start getting a feeling of being "strong" physically and mentally. These are the two major causes of making muslims inhuman to the pain of non muslims.

All functional (i.e., working for the prosperity of the society) political systems are hybrids of Enlightenment. A combination of indigenous culture coupled with the Enlightenment which respects the individual.
Riyasat-e-Medina without hybridizing with the Enlightenment is just not possible. It's not the "superiority" complex which makes Islamic states impractical, rather It's the stupidity of ignoring human progress since the sixth century.
