Hello Leodis55. I truly appreciate your little videos particularly those in the workshop updating us on the TipTop projects. Whilst the quality of production of some of your videos may not win too many awards, you certainly do a better job than I could manage! I have pictures of Mays, Villiers and Berthon at Eastgate House but I have never actually been to the place so your little video tour is most interesting. Keep up the good work in bringing us ERA and Riley tit bits. Ciao.
Joan thanks for your kind words , I know some videos are below par but then I'm no pro. Anyway many people like yourself seem to appreciate at least some videos. Sometimes it's hard to film and talk in different locations and keep them looking good . More ERA GP2 to come soon -ish as progress is made.
Raymond Mays CBE. I'm sure that if his personal life had been a little more to the liking of the "establishment" then he would have received a far greater honour to correctly reflect his huge contibution to the reputation of British motorsport. Thankfully, the world has moved on since those times and a person is appreciated for what they do rather than their personal relationships. Thanks.
@@Birashanuman Would your choice of Hanuman be R12B or R12C? With regard to Birabongse "turning in his urn", we Buddhists tend to be gentle beings are always welcoming of the effort of others whether they be humble or otherwise. Namaste.
@@Birashanuman Thank you for that information. I see the R12C Hanuman on a reular basis but I have not seen R12B for many years. The White Mouse stable cars are truly fascinating and it such a shame that one of the most famous of the cars is not seen by an appreciative audience on a regular basis. No doubt in the fullness of time R12B will be released from captivity and return to the land of its birth. Many thanks.
@@Birashanuman That is an excellent idea! I shall see if Leodis55 might be available to head up the negotiating team and if we mention your name then I am sure that we might get a few Baht knocked off the price. Now if you would kindly excuse me, I need to continue my excavations down the back of the sofa.
Wow , this video seems to have had quite a reaction from yourself which is fine as you are entitled to your opinion. ERA's are one of my favourite cars and I just try to show fans of several cars around the world an insight and sounds of these beasts of the tracks. Anyway soon in West Yorkshire we will be able to hear the (Racing Green ) paint dry. Thanks Birashanuman and keep watching ...not my best video I know but Hey Ho !!!!
Thanks joan ...it seems my not so good video has stirred some reaction with a lot of big words, and it was just supposed to be info on the creation of ERA in 1933. I also went to the Bourne museum on Saturday and they had some good stuff on Raymond Mays 's contribution to ERA and BRM . Hopefully the bit of video I took just to give an insight on what hey have on show will be posted when I can.
I have only just found out that my Vincent Comet was supplied new by Mays of Bourne in early 1950. So there is a history of a Motor Factors as Mays family business.
@@leodis55 The VOC Registrar also owns a Vincent supplied by Mays of Bourne. He supplied me a link which has a swish photo of the building and petrol pumps as part of the business. I'll post it here later.

Hello, that's interesting . ERA had moved away from Bourne after WW2 but you learn something everyday. Thanks I'll look that up thank you.
