    This is my 1st time seeing your video and it's what you said at the end. I have a tattoo on my forearm that says, Never stop trying to be a better person than you are today! Trust me if you want to learn how to use a katana/samurai sword there’s loads of ways but believe me if you swung your sword like this in front of a Japanese sensei they would not be happy… it’s not traditional, this guys basically playing with a sword. Best way to learn is by reading books

    can anyone pass the handle of the katana through index and middle then ring and middle and then over ring and pinky into a reverse grip?

    • @SkillMastery
      @SkillMastery  2 года назад

      We wouldn't recommend that but I'm sure someone can do it. Typically you would do a peace sign with the katana between the index and middle finger on the handle to get to reverse grip! 🙂

    I didn't know actually making the blade go underneath near your armpit was actually how you can get a cool spin out of it, I've been doing this part subconsciously, I've no formal training with a sword or of any kind, it just felt natural to do, and I've always personally had this nagging thought in my head of how stupid it is to let the sharp blade go under you at such speeds, but it's not suppose to be part of actual combat, but just showmanship more like.
    Now that you've also shown me you can do a full spin to, like "Add" power to the strike, it looks so much cooler than it did before, thanks so much, haha!

      Yes you can probably find a thinner practice sword, otherwise you’ll have to really work on the timing and balance of the sword. You can still do tricks with a thicker sword, but it will be challenging.

    • @SkillMastery
