I learned this back in the late 1970’s/early 1980’s. I wonder is basic astronomy taught on schools now because this shouldn’t be new information.
@@technofilejr3401 I also learned most of this in school (80's-mid 90's) but did most of my own homework as I love to read, and animals/outer space were two fav subjects.
Imagine 2 black holes that orbit each other for a few decillion years before finally merging together, like that time span is nothing even closely conprehencable, even for immortal beeings, you would go insane in just a billionth of that time. And we get utterly upset about things that happen in 80 years, I feel so weird right now....

i do kind of like the wonderful expectation that there was going to be something hopeful at the end through the entire video. Even given the fact that once the sun begins to change to a Red Giant and then a white dwarf, that's it, Earth is gone.
The only sort of hope that we have, is to figure out a way to make the theorized baby universe, WELL BEFORE that time. Hence why they are referred to as "lifeboats" in that segment. But, i do believe there was a little bit of misplaced expectations, as this wasn't a video about the future of humanity, but a future of our universe as a whole, even post-humanity.
This is why this video is one of those ones that generally give a sense of existential dread and that feeling of "well, my very small existence is meaningless and insignificant in the grand scheme of things"
Our collective existence is insignificant. The whole human race could end tomorrow and this big old universe could keep on chugging
11:00 Great reaction guys. I wanted to say something. Black holes can only overpower matter if the matter gets too close to it. Black holes are not cosmic sucking machines. Let me give an example. We all know the Earth orbits the Sun. If you could suddenly replace the Sun with a black hole of the same mass, the Earth wouldn't get sucked into it, because it's still responding to the same amount of gravity. The Earth would keep orbiting the black hole at its current distance. I hope this helps.

Yes the earth would still orbit the black hole, but it would be an iceberg because there’s no heat. For a while anyway, until the planet reaches the accretion disk where everything is cooked a bajillion degrees from the radiation.

Srry I'm late but if you may ask why Mars moon becomes a ring is because mars strong gravity will rip it's moon into 1 million pieces and Saturn will lose its rings because it's strong gravity eats it and pulls it into it's atmosphere and become a ring rain or ice rain

I'd have to disagree on that. The video of them should be the bigger one and the one they watch should be small. At least for our viewing.
We have already seen the video and are here to see their reaction to it. If the video in topic is left as the big screen, it's easy to forget about the reactors and focus on the bigger video in front of us, which we are not here for.

There currently isn't a way to escape the universe of course but it's theorized that black holes are like bubbles in spacetime. When the universe was created in the Big Bang it expanded very quickly but as a result of this rapid expansion it was created unevenly. Imagine the universe is a pancake and the bubbles that form inside the pancake's dough are what we perceive as black holes, they are literal holes (bubbles) in the fabric of spacetime (pancake).
Following that logic it's theorized black holes could provide a gateway to somewhere outside the universe if we had the technology to send someone through one. Unfortunately we can't test this right now as we can't reach any black hole but it could one day be possible. At this point it's really in the realm of science fiction though but the other stuff is pretty accurate but should still be taken with a grain of salt as it's hard to predict what will happen trillions of years into the future based solely on our current understanding of the universe.

Timing of the video and reaction were off by a second or 2 and second should watch how the Universe Works and the concept of multiverse.
There are infinate number of same things happerning to a universe where humans or even protons arnt real to same universe but slight changes like hair style or slight voice change to earth sky being red because the elements that make ours blue work the same but emit red color but no changes etc.
Maybe ghosts are other universes glitching though and we pracive them as ghosts.

It is annoying for theories to be knocked so easily in favor of other theories.
The Universe could technically infinitly repeat. And yet, it might not. It would need to retain the same data to repeat over and over again. And that points back to dark energy. If it can retain information in small quantities...then it would be entirely possible.

they're not guessing. the ideas here are either based on laws of physics and math extrapolated over time or based on current theoretical physics. some just aren't testable currently. but its not just made up.

They are stating that all the time, like a good science video.
In the beginning they are saying: It is uncertain, but with our findings we currently think it could be like that. During the video: There are many options, we cannot really know since we do not know enough about Dark Energy. Even the guy with the mutliple universes said "of course this is pure speculation", before he continued. So it's absolutely safe that everyone knows that this is speculation based on the limited knowledge we have today.
It is called an educated guess. This video wanted to portrait the currently most probable path based on current findings. If the findings change, if we gain new evidence to update our models how the world works, then we can make better predictions.
But there is absolutely no use in "that's fake", unless you have better evidence to predict what's happening. That is science.
