I don't know why I like the yellow synthetic handles, but I do. There's a few other patterns I'd like to get in the yellow. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
I like that Slimline Trapper as well. I'm usually not interested in big knives like the full-sized Trapper, but I don't mind the Mini Trapper. I like the single slender blade on the thinline. Single blade Minis are sweet too when you can find one.
The Slimline is great! It's almost as long as the full size trapper but it is so sleek and slender. My Slimline has the best fit and finish out of all my Case knives. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
The CV was a unique 1095 blend. And the CS is simply the same thing, minus the “sauce.” I bought probably thirty CV knifes, and I own one example of CS, and my presumption is the removed content was present for rust control. People want a derelict looking knife anyway. The CV never seemed to scale up like old iron folders, say an Old Timer. I don’t know, I kinda like the new stuff.
In my limited experience, I find the CV a little harder to sharpen than the CS. The CS is still looking new with hardly any staining. But without the steel stamp I'd probably wouldn't notice a difference between the two. Thanks for checking the video out!!
I own over 300 case knives by for carbon steel is my favorite,ss 420hc modified is ok cv is 1095 modified carbon is 1095 but for whatever reason I find c s edge retention and cv to be equal I do find c s takes a finer edge and easy to sharpen than cv
I've gotton where I buy Case knives only when I can see them at store. I think the QA at Case has slipped alot hope they snap out of the shoddy control.
I do like Case and want to buy US made, but I'm not a fan of their quality control. I had one that was so bad all around that I sent it back.. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
Nice video. But actually it is very sad that there are manufacturers which products are so bad in quality and you accept all these flaws and faults as acceptable and normal.
I may not buy any more case knives unless I can physically check them out first. But the Sodbuster is a great knife and I also got a Sodbuster Jr. Both are way off center.
Great bunch of knives! Thanks for the look at them, buddy
They all have issues, but I still like them.
I like and have 2 yellow cases also, trapper and soddy. Reminds me of the grips on John Waynes 6 shooter 😉

Very cool knives! Great video Jack 👍
I'm just liking traditional knives right now. 😆

I have found new Case knives need their actions cleaned and oiled.
I've had to clean and oil everyone. Buck 110's and 112's are the same also.
