Many martyrs around the world who knew the meaning of loyalty for Christ the King with the high price of death just like Christ for all of us.

Samurai (侍) were the hereditary military nobility and officer caste of medieval and early-modern Japan from the late 12th century until their abolition in 1876.
They were the well-paid retainers of the daimyo (the great feudal landholders).
They had high prestige and special privileges, such as wearing two swords.
They cultivated the bushido codes of martial virtues, indifference to pain, and unflinching loyalty, engaging in many local battles.
Though they had predecessors in earlier military and administrative officers, the samurai truly emerged during the Kamakura shogunate, ruling from c.1185-1333.
They became the ruling political class, with significant power but also significant responsibility.
During the 13th century, the samurai proved themselves as adept warriors against the invading Mongols.
During the peaceful Edo era (1603 to 1868), they became the stewards and chamberlains of the daimyo estates, gaining managerial experience and education.
In the 1870s, samurai families comprised 5% of the population.
As modern militaries emerged in the 19th century, the Samurai were rendered increasingly obsolete and very expensive to maintain compared to the average conscript soldier.
The Meiji Restoration ended their feudal roles, and they moved into professional and entrepreneurial roles.
Their memory and weaponry remain prominent in Japanese popular culture.

While they did develop values of honor and such, ‘Bushido codes’ didn’t exist before the Edo period

I have sympathy for Shirou even though I am not Catholic but Episcopalian the old kind not the modern heresy.I have a high respect for both the Catholic and Orthodox Church .Sincerely an American fascist.I may remain an Episcopalian Christian to keep the old version alive for as long as possible.I am willing to stand against my own church if it meant bringing back the true version of my branch of Christianity. For unity in Christ!

Sorry I'm replying to this so late dude. But I definitely understand you're plight of being a fascist in a very liberal Church. I'm a Catholic and whilst we do have our own problems, we are trying to preserve some authentic part of your heritage within ourselves - have you ever thought about the Ordinariates?

@@Isidore_de_Sevilla I have not heard of them before.I do work in an imperialist movement called Imperial Renaissance. It is a movement where people from every branch of Christianity work together to bring back true Christian teachings it also is where both fascist and monarchist and other imperialist work together under a common goal.

@@sethfrisbie3957 Oh I follow his RUclips channel as well, he's awesome and the community is great. I would also consider myself an imperialist.
The Anglican Ordinariates are conservative Anglicans and Episcopalians who rejected the liberalism in their denomination and rejoined with the Catholic Church whilst still being semi-autonomous. They have their own bishops and priests, and retain the Anglican-style Mass as well as the Book of Common Prayer. Check them out sometime: ordinariate.net/

@@Isidore_de_Sevilla they are an interesting group.I do only have 2 differences with the Catholic Church being I think faith alone can save someone and I disagree with meatless Friday other than that you would mistake me for a Catholic.I think you can understand why Protestants think faith alone can save someone while I can understand why Catholics think only through good works can you enter Heaven while I say faith alone can save someone but good works can certainly help you enter Heaven.I take the be the odd one in the group choice while I remain an Episcopalian Christian to keep the old denomination of my branch alive.

@@sethfrisbie3957I admire that you want to preserve the Anglican and Episcopalian tradition but for salvation's sake I think you should look into the Ordinariate. Just to clarify, we don't believe in works alone - in our understanding, works without faith render no merit just as faith without works is dead (to quote James 2). God bless dude.

@Isidore is the art/animae the same as the movie? Also i feel you might like knowing that samurai means servent and to be a follower of Christ you would also be considered a servent of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, i think that samurai in the revolt must've identified with this and felt what better LORD to serve then the one who really cares about us and will grant us Eternal Love and Salvation. May the Lord JESUS CHRIST BLESS YOU ❤️‍🔥✝️🕊💛 主イエス·キリストの祝福がありますように

A book that explores the connection between Jesus Christ and samurai warriors. The book suggests that Jesus Christ has more in common with samurai warriors than one might think.
