Well, as far as i know, the stormtroopers had a good aim, but the blasters were not made for battle, they were made for security or something like that, so the aiming with them was very bad.

Being a lore-accurate Imperial Guard game would require the player experiencing death over and over again in the course of a single battle. So it would need some way to incorporate death into its gameplay loop so as not to break the feel of the Guard too much. Maybe a game in the style of the original Star Wars Battlefront campaigns?
Zepyrus-G yeah, that would be awesome! Like you do the campaign as the unit rather than individual soldiers, and have tempestus scions and astartes as hero units, and you follow the regiment as it’s deployed to multiple worlds and stuff. That would be almost perfect for an imperial guard game!

I really love the way they used the MG42 in Jin Roh, They showed it for the actually terrifying powerhouse it is, and the combination of the forward side mount grip, and the Armor, really makes it a terrifying force to go against

It also gave me an idea for Death Corp of Krieg Tempestus Scions/Shocktrooper designs I may want to try building but looking for the shields is going to be troublesome.
I thing it means "Eternal Empire". Imperium can mean both empire and control. The Nazis wanted to created an everlasting empire. One of the nicknames for Nazi Germany is "Millennium of Empire" or in German "Tausendjähriges Reich".
I believe you've all looked into this a little too much. I mean, good on you for being so knowledgeable, but I was purposely not going into semantics. My point was, on the very surface level, this title translates to something like "Eternal Control" which I believe fits the aesthetic very well. Imperium can and does mean many things, like all things in ancient Roman Latin translated to modern Latin or church Latin and then again to English or another language. It also gets fussy due to many cultures using it long after the Romans. All these things, at their root, pertain to control of a political or even militaristic nature. I feel control is a fairly accurate blanket translation that covers very broadly the general idea. Though, I am not complaining. I do appreciate all the input regarding usage.

@@Sam-bp2st Actually no, they do count. The Tempestus Scions are classified as "Stormtroopers", only Stormtroopers who serve the wider Imperium and not a specific regiment, world, or system. The Grenadiers are also classified this way, along with the Kasrkin and the Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. So yes, the Grenadiers are indeed a Tempestus Scion equivalent, but more suited to Krieg and made/used almost exclusively by Krieg and its Regiments.

The old animation is Jin-Roh the Wolf Brigade, an old anime from like, '98 or '99.
The live action of the same scenes is Illang the Wolf Brigade
The other sources are Killzone and Wolfenstein. There may be something more, but I'm not sure.
I really love the way they used the MG42 in Jin Roh, They showed it for the actually terrifying powerhouse it is, and the combination of the forward side mount grip, and the Armor, really makes it a terrifying force to go against

I believe you've all looked into this a little too much. I mean, good on you for being so knowledgeable, but I was purposely not going into semantics.
My point was, on the very surface level, this title translates to something like "Eternal Control" which I believe fits the aesthetic very well.
Imperium can and does mean many things, like all things in ancient Roman Latin translated to modern Latin or church Latin and then again to English or another language. It also gets fussy due to many cultures using it long after the Romans. All these things, at their root, pertain to control of a political or even militaristic nature. I feel control is a fairly accurate blanket translation that covers very broadly the general idea.
Though, I am not complaining. I do appreciate all the input regarding usage.

@@Sam-bp2st Actually no, they do count. The Tempestus Scions are classified as "Stormtroopers", only Stormtroopers who serve the wider Imperium and not a specific regiment, world, or system.
The Grenadiers are also classified this way, along with the Kasrkin and the Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. So yes, the Grenadiers are indeed a Tempestus Scion equivalent, but more suited to Krieg and made/used almost exclusively by Krieg and its Regiments.
