Also for those who are interested, I have a survey that ranks every MHWI base monsters in the game. I’ll keep the poll open until sometime next month, and I will share the results soon. I would send a link here, but MSS has a strict rule for having links in the comment section. But you guys can access the survey by looking at the community tab Ruiner vs Nerg fight when the fight was released where he shared the survey. Another method would be to go to Reddit and search MHWI Survey. You should find the survey there as the first two results you’ll find are mine. Thanks.
In phase 1 alatreon was winning (which surprised me because he started in ice which meant that fatalis dealt a lot more damage than he otherwise would have and because of horn breaks he stayed ice/dragon) Aside from the phase transfer alatreon was actually losing the second phase (lost his 9% health faster than he could deal 9% to fatalis). There are a few things to remember though. Fatalis' second horn would likely break in this second fase lowering his overal damage output down to fase 1 levels. If you remove phase transfers this would mean that Alatreon might win eventually if not for one issue. Fatalis' ai and the hunter position. It's somewhat obvious that the big cone fire breath was fatalis' primary damage source. The usage of this attack depends on the hunter's location relative to him so with perfect breath baiting fatalis would easily stomp alatreon but if the hunter sticks too close to him he'll never use it leading to an alatreon stomping fatalis. No real way to call it without removing the phase transitions and modding the AI to focus the monster
don't forget the extreme temperature shifts, 11:57 till 12:27 is basically fatty and ala trading blows to one another, freezing and melting one after another and it's so damn epic
The downside to EJ is that it's health based, which means it rly sucks against other monsters due to the massive health pools (as compared to a hunter's.) I was waitin to see what Fatty's ult would do and I wasn't disappointed lmao.
The arena turning to darkness is a clear representation of how dangerous these Black Dragons are compared to regular Elder Dragons. Elder Dragons in general can cause nature to run wild but only Black Dragons can turn every conceivable thing on earth be left in ruins

It's a shame the Alatreon super nova move doesn't effect other monsters, would have made it a lot more fair since the fatalis ultimate move effects the ala but ala ultimate move doesn't effect fatalis. Still great vid !
I don't think that make a different in the outcome as 1 ulti from Fatalis took out 67% of Alatreon hp. If anything it would just make the fight shorter as the time between the phases will be shorter and for sure Alatreon can't eat 2 ulti attacks back to back and survive. The damage will be more yes but the outcome stays the same.
I wish we could see this without the fatalis transition. It's obvious who wins since that does like a full monsters health bar, I'd be interested to see if alatreon could win if he didnt have to tank those.

Alatreon: No, you lied.

It is interesting to note how Fatty’s ultimate deals damage while most other incredibly damaging ultimates don’t. Would be interesting to see how it would have played out if it had been more balanced lol. Though I will say, Alatreon was giving him a run for his money at first.
Man rip if only alatreon's super nova actually worked on fatalis still great tho
It still would've lost because it just would've pushed Fatalis to his phase transitions sooner, and 2 of them is enough to kill Alatreon
@@ibs_haver But, if Ala nova doesn't work, why not remove the dmg from fatalis nova to make it fair? Talking bout balance at this point is retarded, but holy shit that nova melts other monsters, its busted as fuck!
@@JLPais-cp8th It's working, but it just deals 400 damage in 5 seconds(if not nerfed through elemental damage). For a normal hunter this is a death sentence but for Fatalis it's just a scratch at best.
@@kaen4299 also its likely that fatalis attacks are Elemental damage which could also reduce it.
@@kaen4299 it did 30 damage to fatalis, that's absolutely unfair. if fatalis is allowed to deal the entirety of its damage with schrade's demise alatreon should also have a full power escaton judgment either that or nerf schrade's demise, it's the same problem with sapphire of the emperor which is a oneshot attack just like fatalis. but for some reason safi simply doesn't work properly. i know fatalis is supposed to be strong but if we want to just ignore every other monster's ability to deal damage for the sake of entertainment we could just make fatalis deal infinite damage with every attack since it's the only one allowed to use his full potential, that or we could actually balance it to make it comparable to the other finishing attacks which wouldbe much more interesting instead of just making every video a race to fatalis phase change
Not gonna lie, Alatreon did much better than I thought it would have
Well to be fair he is one of the 3 black dragons and it never really gives a defined answer for which is the strongest of them all a battle royal with these and dire miralis the 3rd black dragon would be epic
@@kyanfleming7175 I’d say White Fatty is the strongest. The G-rank White Fatty in Frontier is literally a god.
It helped that most of Fatalis’ attacks were dead-ended by the hunter model and didn’t actually hit Alatreon unlike Alatreon’s wide ranging attacks on Fatalis. But an actual battle between these two would be quite the spectacle

Wow... just wow.... that was actually a lot better than I expected. Even if Safi did survive did longer, Alatreon did give Fatalis a run for his money. His damage output on Fatalis was a lot higher than Fatalis to Alatreon. One of my favorite parts of seeing Alatreon fight is when the lighting changes within that fight, and it doesn’t disappoint her. If it’s possible, could you just nerf the damage output of Fatalis ultimate. I really want to see how far Alatreon can go when the fight his even and how he would fare against third phase Fatalis. Overall, this is probably my fourth most favorite fight in this RUclips channel, and it gets a 9/10.
Thanks.
Curious to know the top 3
In phase 1 alatreon was winning (which surprised me because he started in ice which meant that fatalis dealt a lot more damage than he otherwise would have and because of horn breaks he stayed ice/dragon)
Aside from the phase transfer alatreon was actually losing the second phase (lost his 9% health faster than he could deal 9% to fatalis).
@@dirandrous7682 I constantly keep tabs of the results, and the results always shift for most monsters.
don't forget the extreme temperature shifts, 11:57 till 12:27 is basically fatty and ala trading blows to one another, freezing and melting one after another and it's so damn epic
yeah I agree avatar boy is indeed the second strongest, being behind firelord Fatty
Alatreon: I command all the elements. I command you. Bow down to me.
Fatalis: Coochy coochy coo. Is wittle Alatreon gonna throw a trantrum?

The downside to EJ is that it's health based, which means it rly sucks against other monsters due to the massive health pools (as compared to a hunter's.) I was waitin to see what Fatty's ult would do and I wasn't disappointed lmao.
