  • Ak Lakhani, the then U16 Head Coach and Head Of Foundation Phase Lead at Leyton Orient, joins the Coach's Pass for a position-specific combination play practice.
The first part of the session started with a technical warm-up building on what Leyton Orient's Sport Science department worked on including short sharp movements with lots of traffic to play through.
Ak lead the session into a position-specific combination play. Split into two teams, suited to their positions, one team to play through a high press while the other team tries to combine to get plenty of touches and combinations in and around the penalty area.
This creates opportunities for players to experiment on their combinations and play under pressure.
