Especially when she went off script and talked to him like a mother would.

    • @elenacandia9018

@@crimsinbutterfly good for you but the human brain is not as black and white. I'm pretty sure humans have more information about space than they do about the brain. There is a significant amount of sociopaths and psychopaths that are serial killers (not saying all sociopaths and psychopaths are killers there's a difference) but just because one person like you who's trauma didn't make them a killer doesn't mean it isn't going to do the same to another person. Not saying it's okay, but there is reason why a lot of people who come from shitty backgrounds become criminals and killers. That's like telling a person who went through some shit to not be depressed because you've seen someone who went through something similar be okay.

Agreed, and she was at her best when she went off script. Flynn wouldn’t have responded to the first bit of her speech, I don’t think. Her line, “What I can do is tell you what a mother should tell you“ was, I think, what really made him realize that he was in fact doing the same thing to Ellie that was done to him. he would’ve seen right through the bullshit had she stuck to the script throughout, and it very well could’ve ended badly for Ellie.

Yeah, yeah, I get that not ALL of them are that by choice, I'm saying the ones who ARE by choice. The ones who dug themselves in that pit because they either made VERY piss poor choices that got them were they are now, or who do it just because it's "easy money" and can't be bothered to learn skills to get a REAL job and the ones who do it as a pathetic way to rebel.
