    The Full Tilt Poker Scandal. Black Friday. The darkest day in poker. Whatever you want to call it, its impact on poker is undeniable and unescapable. We’ve even covered it twice on our channel in our deep dives on Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer. But we wanted to go deeper. To discuss not just its devastating fall but also its massive rise.

    I built a $2K bankroll from winning the 500K entry play chip tourney for $5 real dollars 2 nights in a row, which they subsequently took back from me. I used to love doing railbird trivia. JRB was probably my favorite pro to chat with, he's a freakin' trip.

      @@PokerBoomYTA real piece of Scata’. To show you ghe Gaul of these guys,Chris Ferguson, after stealing 10’s of millions of dollars in players funds, has the balls to show his face at The WSOP tournaments. They most likely screwed over the kinds of people you shouldn’t screw with and I still think when the time is right they may suddenly disappear from planet earth under suspicious circumstances….maybe another hole in the Las Vegas desert. At least Lead-head has the sense to hide out eventhough he’s not smart enough to realize the woods of New Hampshire will not save him. They are going to come for you one day “professor”.

    I think the Tamayo scandal is bigger. The WSOP's inability to stop what was going on and enforce the rules they set themselves is gonna kill the game alltogether - live and online - if nothing happens.
    It will only consist of GTO crypto bros who constantly check their phones because they're too afraid to make a mistake, if this shit continues on.

    • @jerrycarino4478
      @jerrycarino4478 2 месяца назад +2

      It’s only big to you because it happened last week but when the full tilt shutdown happened a lot of online players lost their money. That’s bigger then tamayos labtop sims problem just add a rule saying no labtop or sims on cell phones.

      @spiderseb 2 месяца назад

      @@jerrycarino4478 I was around during Black Friday and yeah, it was big. But it didn't kill the live game, just online, which has been remedied since. But this GTO bullshit has the ability to kill it all. It's like a slow terminal cancer.

      I was playing razz online and same dude razzed a Queen twice in 15 minutes and beat my 6 perfect and 6-5 in both hands, something that never happened to me once live in decades, but twice in 15 minutes, so I knew it was fixed and was done with it.

    Money use in a business is only an issue if they are like a bank, with rules on what they can or cannot do. Or if they are unable to pay people their money when asked. The only reason they were unable to pay people is the Feds took their accounts.

  • @Mathemagical55
    @Mathemagical55 2 месяца назад +1

    I always think Chris Ferguson was treated somewhat unfairly. By all accounts he was responsible for the software and site integrity and there was never any issue with that. It was Howard Lederer who hired Ray Bitar as CEO and he allowed the finances to get completely out of control.

    • @jasonbatteiger2421
      @jasonbatteiger2421 Месяц назад

      it was from how all 3 of those (not say ivey or the other well known pros associated with the site) him included got paid with other people's money, and this was done routinely. the money these 3 stole wasn't given back by them, pokerstars saved everybody from their theft. ferguson's payouts weren't as high as lederer/bitar, so not AS guility, but still guilty. this is contrary to ivey, dwan, others, who at least could believably claim to not be involved in it, and maybe believably not at all aware of it.
