In my opinion poker is too inconsistent and more the luck of the draw. Blackjack is more consistent and with learning basic strategy will make you a much better player.
I see a lot of comments struggling with the logic in this video. So let me try to explain. When you think of a range, you are thinking of, "what are the group of hands that a player like the one I'm playing would play instead of folding?" When a TAG or a NIT plays a hand, they are giving you an implicit range that suggests they have a hand that is in the top 5-20% of hands, with a higher probability of those hands that every TAG/NIT plays (e.g. AK, AQ, pocket pair). You should therefore only play hands that beat that group of hands frequently, and discard hands that are likely to lose to that group of hands (e.g. A9, KT). If you assume the person across from you is a fish, and play accordingly at all time, instead of recognizing the difference between a fish and TAG/NIT - YOU ARE THE FISH. The old saying is, "if you look around the table and can't see who the fish is, you are the fish." That applies here. A lot of folks commenting here are implicitly assuming the person across from them are playing a trash hand. That is a sign that these commenters play trash hands, and are the fish.

AK, and even AA, KK, QQ are all great hands but dangerous. Things can escalate and while they're awesome and 'usually' win for me, the amount of money you DON'T lose from throwing them in the muck is so big as anything. This has been the case for me mant times in multi-player hands and see others cards to the river after I'm out and people call and hit with wierd hands and I WOULD HAVE got smoked. Too many variables to list bro. Playstyles, your mood, their mood, hand history, skill level, booze, is the whole table nuts so is your AA going against 3 or 4 nut jobs anything short if an all in? Too mich in there, so someone might middle stack or stuck all night shoves or won't fold on a draw and hits, stack sizes, getting in our own head cuz were card dead, then you see AA finally... Just a ton of variables more that can throw people off. I've got better at navigating all that and when I did, the 'good hands' became good to me. Even still, they'll get cracked but if you read the whole table, opponents, and situations we'll, you should be gtg over time.

KTo really isn’t that horrible of a hand. Just depends on how you play it. It is trash if you’re open raising from UTG, or 3-betting against an early position raise, however if you’re in late position and it gets folded around obviously you’re going to 3-bet with only the blinds left to act. All the other hands you mentioned I would agree with what you said, though.
Depends also on your stack size 4 sure with good sz you can raise 57s sometimes as short or middle stack i dont play it also nearly every Jx or Kx not also KK and JJ loose many times yesterday i win with KQ 1 time since many many Times many depends on your Stack size and if youre playing Satellite or normal slow Tourney etc. By Satellites you only play strong Hands 4 sure if you want to win and varianz is o.k sometimes its really crazy and nearly all bs hand win then better quit. But yeah thats good Advices also K6 4 example loose vs KQ both Top Pair thats main Problem of under 10 kicker hands you have often bad kicker also by 7,9 etc. flushs !
I can't lie, I was at a 1/3 cash and had A-6 suited in the BB. The pre-flop raise was only $12, so I decided $9 was worth seeing 3 cards. Sure enough I got lucky and flopped the flush, and won the hand. Was it a bad pre-flop hand? Absolutely. If it wasn't so cheap to stay in I would have folded. Circumstances defintely played a role this time around for me.

said the same thing for 10 minutes every example was the same
This is silly of course AK beats A3, same as AA beats AK
Why is Ace King not on this list??? Worst hand in poker
& Ace Queen.
@@RonnieMorgan-fw8qj I hate AQ with a passion! I’ve lost more money on that hand, I stopped raising with it, because a fish calls , and neither card hits the board!
K 10 just never play it when they raise
Why don't you play in WSOP?
cuz hes not good enough to even min cash
@@BenjaminWang-ih9xy if you listen to anything Nathan says, making money is much easier against the fish!
@@fransdorris1247 uh huh...
Could do this video 30 sec. Don’t play marginal hands if u don’t want to steal the blinds or are IP vs fish 🥶
Statistically q 7 is the most winning hand
Been playing long?
Any 2 cards can beat any 2 cards shoot I've beat AA's with just 52 so I call bs on this crap
Yeah ofc, but if you play the correct way you will win more and use less
These hand are obv…… fold fold fold or accept negative ev
Aces
Tip 1 strongly agree. I look at it same way.
What do you mean "when stealing the blinds"? My son
Open raising from the cutoff, button or the small blind. See my free guide for more, link in description.
I think I've seen Negreanu play all these hands...and win mostly.
if your vibe is DNeg, they fear your appearance and you can bluff
if you are nothing, you shouldn’t play those hands
So i guess I’m a TAG player
such bs - i have ak and a3 shoves and hits 3
What a bunch of blablabla. Watched the first example and just smh... So if i am deep in a tournament, it folds to me in th BU, i should just fold A3o? Becauseof a bad kicker?? Wtf dude.
I go on in 2 7 and fold AA, now I am a millionaire
you're an annoying fool not at all funny
KTo really isn’t that horrible of a hand. Just depends on how you play it.
It is trash if you’re open raising from UTG, or 3-betting against an early position raise, however if you’re in late position and it gets folded around obviously you’re going to 3-bet with only the blinds left to act. All the other hands you mentioned I would agree with what you said, though.
hillarious...
can we rename this the captain obvious channel? "when you play A-3 you are likely to be outkicked? NO CHIT CHERLOCK
He’s not making these videos for experienced players tho
You beat A2, lol
great stuff, but saw Daniel Negranu beat Phil Helmut with 72 offsuit🤣
saw Helmuth beat the mouth with 72 not sure what your point is
@@dougkleen9917 not too hard, the point is that even good players ocasionally play a crap hand to trap their opponent
It ain't that simple, bro. You must be very predictable to play against.
Well he does say to play the bad hands in position when stealing blinds,
Any low card with another low card other than paired and any low card paired with paint just fold, unless in b.b. flat calling.
Circumstances defintely played a role this time around for me.
we really don't care what you do, this video is not about Griese's play
I think it depends on position and how good or bad the other players are.
Overrated advice because it all depends on the situation..
I lost so many hands with pocket kings, queens therefore there is no such a sure things !
thank you Cpt Obvious
A3 off just hit straight on the river and knocked out 4th place with JJ at the WSOP final table. 🤔
I like playing the 10 2 in honor of Doyle Brunson
good for you, nobody cares
How common is it for really good players to fold two pair aces and eights?
Ok so basically just play the nuts is what your saying😂
Just saw A 9 off suit win a huge hand at the WSOP in the 50k no limit. Hit a full house on the river. 😂😂😂😂
So you saw it once.
Wow, that is so amazingly and completely not at all interesting in any way
7 5 suited is what James Bond won with in Casino Royale. 😊
You should have king nine off suit. You can not MAKE THE NUT STRAIT. You are helpless if A K mackes the same straight and it is real hard to get away from the hand.
A9o 😂 That’s what I always force myself to play and end up regretting
These hands become better when shorthanded
A6 off would be worse than the A3 combo as it can make a straight. What is this amateur hour? Stop giving advice.
Lmao, okay donk. Become a full time professional poker player like this guy, reach classes on how to play like this guy, and also create a very successful RUclips channel about poker...like this guy...and then come back and comment, you sad arm chair hero.
@@jimsty7550 chill on the glaze guy. What is he, your boyfriend? It’s ok to be wrong. It’s ok to learn. Nobody is perfect.
@danhdang5998 what?
Just had AA, on the button all In pre flop heads up...$22 for a $44 pot...get called with J8 off, big blind.....guess who won? J8...HIT QUADS! Even called me a fish before he called 🤣🤣 so this is not 100% accurate online at all. Happened more than once.
Online
we really don't care, this is not all about your bad beats
Nope, it's K9. You're only straight is outed by ace king, which isn't being folded very often. Nvm the kicker, that's a big loss for all of your chips
This coming from a guy that’s probably played %20 of the hands I’ve played in my lifetime
72o, 62o, 52o, 42o, 32o. Video over.
You talk too much.
I brought this up with management. My next video will be 12 minutes of silence.
You talk to much
I fold 37 every time
