I don't really know either to be honest. I think ambient maybe? If you are looking for more similar stuff, I was inspired a lot by Boards of Canada and the Twin Peaks in this. Somebody also mentioned the Cocteau Twins, which there also undoubtibly some similarities.

Thank you! I used a Reaktor Libary that is specifly for making VHS sounds, you can find it on the user libaries on native instruments website.
