When I was about 6or so I met him for the first time at a sporting goods store grand opening in Austin…(this was while he played for the Saints I believe) Then when I was in high school (late 90s) I would go visit my dad at work (he managed a grocery store) and would occasionally bump into Mr Campbell doing his grocery shopping… such a polite man. A true Texas legend.
The Steelers had a great defense throughout the 70s. Several hall of famers. Earl Campbell & the Oilers played them 2x every year. The Dolphins & Raiders of the time also had great defenses.
If you guys wanna see another powerful running back y'all should check out Mike Alstott who played fullback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if you haven't already. I promise you won't be disappointed. 💪🏿😤
Earl is the running back nobody gave credit as one of the greats. They oilers abused him but Earl still played every down hard as he could. He played when the refs let men play ball. Not like today. He didn’t run out of bounds like the weaker backs of today. Never spiked the ball or danced in the end zone.
There are much better highlight videos of him out there. Jim Brown once said, "if you're ranking all of the running backs in NFL history, put Jim Brown first, put Earl Campbell second, and you can put all the rest in whatever order you want." He's from Tyler, Texas (this, the Tyler Rose). He was 6'1 and had 34" thighs. I grew up in Houston during the Luv Ya Blue era. Earl Campbell was my first hero. All power, work ethic, and pure class. Any time he was praised, he'd say "I just run through the holes Tim makes for me" (Tim Wilson was his blocking back). Some people called the Oilers "the Earlers." He wanted to play like Jim Brown, so he never ran out of bounds; He just put his head down and run through people. The Oilers only threw the ball when Earl need to catch his breath. His career beat the shit out of him physically. There was a time that Earl Campbell could knock on any door in Houston and be absolutely welcome into that home.
Can u please react to Ray Hudson pure passion??, I'm sure U will love it, his commentatery is on another level, he can literally describe Messi. Messi and Ray Hudson combo is LEGENDARY🙏🙏
Aiming low with Earl was the worst thing you could do. Even though he was 5'11 he ran really low, and his lower body strength and core strength were insane. Going low meant he slipped the tackle and you were probably hurt. Going high meant he was going to bulldoze you and you'd definitely get hurt.
Can you react to rugby player Ellis Genge? He is nicknamed the baby rhino, he smashes other forwards (the biggest players on the pitch) normally in rugby vids its the backs that get trucked.
Earl could out run cornerbacks he was fast aswell as powerful! I was fortunate to watch him as a teenager he was grat but we had walter here in chicago lol
Please react to Larry Allen of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a Hall Of Fame offensive lineman. He had a unique combination of characteristics. Understanding the offensive lineman helps you understand the game better. There would be no Emmitt Smith without Larry Allen.
Allure I’m new to your channel. I think it’d be cool if you react to organized arm wrestling. It’s becoming really big and there’s a whole lot of intricate techniques that go into what they do. Watch Devon Larratt matches
5:38 mark... he ran over Isaiah Robinson. Later robinson tried to commit suicide because that clip played every Saturday. And where is that Lamar Jackson video Ms. Allure?
First time to your channel earl Campbell my favorite running back but I got so say I was alittle disappointed that you miss earl Campbell running over the linebacker from the rams you guys talking and miss First part of that play you only seen when earl shirt rip
Earl is part of Texas culture. A true icon. My hero growing up.

Juggernaut of the nfl. Once he gains momentum he can't be stopped.

Earl Campbell was the greatest power running back in NFL history
Still waiting for your reaction on Julius Erving a.k.a. Dr. J. Before there was a Micheal Jordan there was the Doctor.

Campbell is one of my personal all-time favorite running backs! Another would be Walter Payton or Roger Craig.
Glad you've been more consistent, you're always missed.
Why he’s nicknamed the Tyler rose is because Tyler, Texas is the Rose Capital of the World
Can u please react to Ray Hudson pure passion??, I'm sure U will love it, his commentatery is on another level, he can literally describe Messi. Messi and Ray Hudson combo is LEGENDARY🙏🙏
