All the pictures get me. These people made a happy life here & yet they have no family too take over. Such a pity the home was a happy place for this family it’s just a shame the house is left to rot away. This grand Old Lady of a home needs to be loved again.

Dave this place was fantastic, the furniture was so beautiful all the details just beautiful. It looked like some other explorer went in and stage that dining table the liquid in the cups were still there. I agree if it were me I would have closed that window too. I hope no one goes in there and destroys that beautiful place. Thank you for sharing this video. Take care.

We can tell that these people were very well off. It's sad that the antiques and furnishings are not being claimed or saved by any children or relatives.

a lot of times these homes are not abandoned, the owners are fully aware of what's inside and possibly have just neglected. I aways wonder how they determine its abandoned.

@@kimharding2246I thought that at first as well. Since it didn’t make sense, I figured it must be “poissants”. I read it as kind of a play on words- le Courant/au courant (in style and the current of a river)? Maybe not, but it seemed clever to me.
I like those roses on dresser cabinet in dining room,such beautiful stuff,does have sad feeling,love that big blue bathroom, like that bedroom with golden headboard and foot,just beautiful it had a lot of room in it ,great job Dave ,you do great in the videos ,taking care of other people's property
At 17.:15 - 17:17 there was a whisp in the middle of screen that was odd! Didn't look like a bug.
That big bathroom was something! So sad that someone does try to empty and preserve - at least they could sell it. So sad. That was a fine home at one time. Thank you!

The house is absolutely beautiful, it’s so sad that it was just left empty to rot. I wonder why? Where is the extended family and why was it left? All the carvings in the heavy wooden features, the big beautiful fire places and you can tell the glassware is crystal. ❤

I was very emotional about this video. Life is hard you get married have kids, earn money, whoever he was he did very well, just so sad they worked hard all their life!!for what no family want this property which is beautiful . Thank you for sharing . These properties should be protected.

Dave such an exquisite home and the furnishings were beautiful. The music accompanying the video was perfect and very fitting. Fireplace was incredible with it's carvings and quality. Sad story but a brilliant time capsule i throughly enjoyed it. 😊 On your way in there was a bobbing Santa on a swing,my mum had one of those. Aww This beautiful french chateau is full of memories of the family that lived thier life times....It is a amazing time capsule that needs to be protected and Lived in again...Each item is a souvenir of an event or trip. I got this info after looking up the book on the shelf or fireplace where his family pictures are. Also that bedroom upstairs where the shotgun shells are I think that’s a blood stain on the wall near the bed. Not to be morbid but it looks like he may of took his life there. That is more than likely why that room adjacent to it didn’t feel so comfortable….. while I was watching you in that room I was screaming, “How can’t you see that! “I do not think those shells were for hunting friend!!! 😮😮😮

St 33:35 in your video when you are exploring the out-buildings. That area looks like a blacksmiths forge.... Thank you for another amazing explore of this wonderful home....I am always amazed of your explores how everything is intact in these places...furniture....personal items, dishes, antiques, art, clothing... If this house were in the United States...everything or any worth would have been stoles.....or destroyed by vandals and covered with obscene graffiti...

Lots of french people wash the dishes and then immediately set the table rather than storing the dishes in the cupboard. They say who bother? We will eat again soon. So not surprised to see a table set at all.

I go to thrift stores here in America. There are family photos, family bibles full of deaths and marriages recorded in them. Just so sad. The man told me he gets his stuff from Estate Sales. Either the children don't want the stuff or it's been left to a relative who just doesn't want the items. It's very sad. You find things from all over the world too. From places they visited or came from.

Lovely explore David. I do believe we’ve been here before, but no matter, I loved this place. Blue may not be your color, but I loved it. The fireplace with the blue and dark wood, the kitchen, that gorgeous bathroom! So sad all these lovely things were left. Someone had to take the time to buy each piece of furniture, every dish, all those books and of course, the Vodka. Can’t wait for the next explore, and as always, please be safe ❤

Hi I really enjoy your videos. I live in NC right now. How is it that most of these abandoned homes leave their doors open? Someone broke in before you found the house or did they leave in such a hurry they didn’t lock up? Left all their beautiful things to the mercy of weather or someone looking for things to steal and sell. It’s just amazing to me. It great seeing an honest man just showing us the houses. Thank you. I don't understand, these explorer's, as I have done when walking through abandoned places, closing the doors & windows. Not leave them open. I don't care what anyone says, I will still lock those windows & doors. & NEVER take anything.
