Someone confusing peasant as referring to the customer reminds me of a girl in high school who answered a history teachers question of what disarming the peasants meant and she so seriously said 'chopped their arms off' 😆 it still brings tears my eyes. Love the neon!

Eh, I think there's time and place for everything. I would never be mean to someone but I would express my opinion on dedicated forums or to friends (once again not being mean but not every negative opinion is mean or hateful). I've seen this sentiment circling book community for a while with people trying to dictate what others can or cannot say in their reviews.
@@bluegreen5377 I agree with you, I don't think this saying is helpful at all. It's just a way for people to avoid getting negative feedback. I know it's not nice to get negative feedback, but as long as it's constructive and put in a polite way, you can learn from it. You don't get anywhere and can't improve if you only ever allow people to say positive things.
@@maritta2504 Yeah, and I may be biased but I've witnessed people who preach about positivity and how you shouldn't say anything negative ever start acting real nasty too many times. So the words I live by are Don't be a prick.

Idk. I thought it came out fantastic. I love how many swirls it has. I didn't even notice that the green and orange were next to each other. I understand the concern about it maybe turning brown, but the colors are very discernible. IMHO this is the best in the pot I've seen so far.

Can I just say THANK YOU for the encouragement? I constantly see people saying "You shouldn't put so much details into your paintings" for example and it often makes me feel...Self-conscious? Like I'm doing something wrong? But the thing is, I LOVE details. I love painting every single leaf of a tree sometimes. It's just who I am and what's typical for my art. So really, I appreciate your encouragement to be myself and express myself artistically the way I want to!

Everyone should do what they love best! Improve if you think you need to improve, but someone will always love you.
Being detailed is an amazing trait for any artist to have, especially because of how streamlined art has become and how many corners are cut usually! Be proud of your attention to detail!
I think detailed art is fascinating. No matter how long you look at it, you always find some new thing you never noticed before.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned thus far in life: do what makes you happy, even if it doesn’t fit into a «typical» (whatever that means) mold. It not only helps you stand out from the cookie-cutter-this-is-how-we’re-supposed-to-do-it, but it makes you happy and it helps you do something for you instead of constantly trying to live up to aaaaaaall the expectations. And it’s no secret that living up to aaaaaaall the expectations all the time is exhausting.
Make the same soap but with a black background and call it “bowling alley floor.”
I made a soap with neons and forgot the fragrance discolors. I ended up calling it Grimy Skating Rink Carpet! 😂

I'm one of those people who, given the choice, prefer non-frosted soap, but then I hate frosting on cupcakes as well. I do, however love watching you make your unique creations, and the joy they bring to you and people!
I'm the same as you, while I may not enjoy something for myself, I can often enjoy and appreciate the art behind that same thing.
I prefer the flat tops too. Except for the momeraths... I'm obsessed with the little soap fluffs and their little eyes.

The frosting looks cool but it's awkward to hold for me, I end up breaking the frosting off and using it as a 'bar' of handsoap and the full square for showers lol

You know how coastal towns like to have a Christmas shop? And in it are a million puns like "Seas and Greetings" and crossover stuff like starfish tree toppers and Santas on swimsuits? I could see you doing a neon beachy Christmassy soap for all those people who have ocean themed Christmas trees and put stuff like that up to decorate their beachy bathrooms.

Oh, I really know that feeling of people hating what I do. Or rather, people making comments which, although may not be intended as such, come across as belittling and give the impression that I'm a horrible person for playing with my passions.
I make music covers translating songs into a videogame and I absolutely love it. I have been doing it for over 5 years and was a musician for at least 13 years before that. I have all the patience in the world to make them and enjoy rising to the challenge being constricted by Minecraft offers. It's a pretty niche hobby, and by the way a lot of players talk down that aspect of the game, I never thought anyone would ever be interested.
So yeah, I really feel you on the frosted soap front.
Woah, you have all my respect! That's super tedious, but I can see the rewarding nature of the end product! That's such a cool hobby and passion to have; noteblocks are basically an instrument - I'm guessing a lot like a synthesizer of sorts? Shame on people for making you feel like that. Even if they didn't mean it, there are ways to be supportive for something you don't understand. I hope you continue to do this and wish you luck on your passion!
This soap would be good as an annual soap during the month of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) or any carnival month. I thought Carnival immediately when I saw. The art in this soap is stellar.

I went looking for the rainbow soap! I thought it was a nod to pride, but it wasn’t in the shop! I bought 2 other bars, but was really really wanting the rainbow one!
The worst thing just now is that sooooooo many huge companies make pride into a complete cash grab. They don’t actually care. It’s just a money making free for all.
I have never heard her mention anything about the lgbt+ community or even politics. I'm gay and it doesn't bother me. She has a business to run and alienating anyone is bad for business.

Honestly, I could listen to you talk all day.
Usually in soap making videos the person making it just tells us the ingredients and then speeds everything up and turns on music.
But you talk, and tell stories, and explain why you don’t do that, you explain where you got the idea from, and give little pep talks! I love watching your videos because of your amazing designs and how you talk while doing your work. You explaining your designs occasionally also gives the soap much more meaning when I look at it.

As a teacher, I like doing a bunch of random things no one will ever notice--like spending a couple hours researching the time period a book we're reading is from and then creating something for an in-class project specifically geared toward that thing. I want to make it authentic. I have a lot of teachers tell me it's too much effort, but it's so much fun for me, I see nothing wrong with it.

Honestly, if I could find a truly TRULY vibrant neon blue, I would have used it! All the neon blues I have ever used look much more dull in soap than the other colors. *cries*

That soap base is giving me a craving for yellow guava juice.
At first I wondered why you skipped electric blue, but when you poured it into the titanium oxide one, I realized there was no room for the extra color.

If you actually want to know why. If not, ignore this. RUclipsrs can & do place the Ads themselves in specific areas. They can choose how many & what types of Ads, if they are skippable, etc. That's why a lot of creators get irritated when RUclips changes the Ads or how they work without warning cause then you end up with creators who didnt put 10 ads on their videos but somehow they're there. Katie always has an Ad there but sometimes youtube decides to move it around. Or if you've seen another Ad recently, youtube will decide not to play that one.

On the subject of the frosted bars being "too big" do you have any recommendations for soap dishes from small businesses?
I usually just cut them in half separating the frosting for the soap so it fits but the scent in the frosting isn’t usually as strong. Just a recommendation.

@@juliebaker6969 i dont know if its just me but if something is tall it feels out of proportion and you can cut it the other way it just depends on the person
