Chrome Enterprise is a gem in the hospital. We enrolled the tap and go badge readers as well as integrate them with Epic systems which most hospitals have adopted in the past few years. This eco-system eliminates most downtimes and enhances employee performance and mobility across the hospital
The paper and construction of this notebook is exceptional. The writing experience of writing on the paper and the number of pages in the notebook makes for a long, good, and preferable benefit. Sometimes I would like one in the width of the Moleskine large for writing unsupported. In the mean time, I order these “in bulk”.
I think Chrome OS will only have a chance to take off when Google releases a full version for anyone to install on their PC. ChromeOS Flex is cool, but very limited for a regular user.
Nothing new to me. I ran my whole company back in 2015-2019 on a Chromebook. I went from a crazy expensive PC system to a $200 Chromebook and it was awesome.
I'm retired now, but using Chromebooks for years, exciting for so many applications. ❤️ I would think they should have some support for offline sync especially on critical systems. Enjoyed this segment. Thanks.
The fact they are showing it off and having a summit. Yes you're right that from a technological standpoint, there's not much new. It's a marketing thing
Does chrome box micro pcs still exist? I want to get something like a Chromebox to use for basic web browsing instead of using my gaming pc or tablet. Simply to save on electricity usage while web browsing.
Very interesting video from the different industries. I would like to read a video where Chrome OS is active in the manufacturing industry, for example quality inspection of products, etc.
There may be specific uses for ChromeOS but having just travelled with a Chromebook for three weeks the No Internet, Slow Internet or Intermittent Internet eclipse all the other flaws in ChromeOS. I could write a book on all the UI/UX flaws, lack of capability and lockups, poor user feedback, Apps that crash, Android Apps that don't cope with different screen sizes and orientation, but who is interested? It is like the years old unanswered questions on the Chrome Community websites. Just shouting into the void, arguing with people who don't seem to have experienced anything better ChromeOS is still the Emperor's Clothes for me. Fanboys put up with its problems but I can't see it being anything else than a "cheap" option that wastes a lot of time and money in practice.
The only real thing that I have to still keep a Windows laptop around for is using a GPS, mapping apps, route planning etc. Come on Garmin et al. Pull your finger out and get your GPS units working with ChromeOS!!
You missed the inclusion of Touch screens at the bottom are disability friendly, not everyone can reach a touch screen ! Hence they will have the ability of controls at the base.
Chrome OS is a GREAT FIT FOR BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENT! The problem (and I know from experience) is that Google DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PROMOTE TO BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENT. A secondary problem is that Google can't be trusted to maintain products and software over the longer time frames that business and Government need to justify their investment. When you do a total cost of ownership calculation a client/server/web based solution like Chrome OS and in-house Google server solution wins hands down. But then you get back to the "trust" issue and I was not able to make a Chrome OS based recommendation to my management (for an organisation with 5,000+ desktops and 2 IBM mainframes). Google needs to get its act together. That's why business and government choose Microsoft, they know how it works for them.
I think a side benefit for Google is if people use ChromeOS and Chromebooks at work they may end up purchasing one for personal use. I know that's true for me and Windows. I boought Windows PCs because that was what I knew how to use.
Don’t really get the thing about chrome os and Linux mint, why can’t we just use Linux Mint it has everyone’s better interests in mind, we know what google wants
did Google say that the Chromebook plus,, with its 8GB ram and i3 cpu was for future ANDROID "Chrome" book machines android 15 has "desk" modes,,, maybe Chromebooks will be killed in 2025,, so instead of chrome OS + android apps + Linux ,,,,, it would be ANDROID ( with apps ) + chrome browser + Linux was there any mention that Chrome OS was to be removed to just kiosks , and android + chrome browser, would take over ?????
"oh its cool how they track ppls movement while they are shopping"......dude wtf is wrong with you.....this is not cool and not ok and ppl like you should be pushing back on this....instead of capitalizing on it. Clearly you do not have your viewers best interests at heart.
Great to see that there is this focus on getting ChromeOS into the enterprise. Love to see it!
I guess it helped that students were turning to Chromebooks like the Lenovo Duet for their schoolwork a few years ago and now are in the work force.

This is so great to see! I am glad that businesses are seeing the benefits that ChromeOS has to offer. Thank you for sharing this information.
Nice to see ChromeOS on more actual logistics systems wide
Need a Pixelbook 2 with high end specs. OLED display, 144hz, fingerprint reader (ultrasonic)
Fantastic enterprise adaptation will help bring more innovation to chromebooks. I run my small business with a Duet 5, it has been a blast to use.

That was so great 😃 More of this kind of reporting, please!
Cool coverage. Seems ChromeOS are now more inclusive for wider industries. Looking forward for more establishment!
Fantastic! Thanks for the tour. Reposted on Linkedin. Finally, we are getting some traction. Time to convince more MS users to switch.
Exciting to see where Chromebooks are used! If i'm going to attach all those devices, what is the best docking station for Chromebooks?
If you want a sure bet, the Lenovo Thinkbook Docking Station is very well optimized for Linux Based operating systems, including Chrome OS.

So what was new?
The fact they are showing it off and having a summit. Yes you're right that from a technological standpoint, there's not much new. It's a marketing thing
Good question, 4 minutes in and I hearing same info for the third time.
Does chrome box micro pcs still exist? I want to get something like a Chromebox to use for basic web browsing instead of using my gaming pc or tablet. Simply to save on electricity usage while web browsing.
you are right, it saves a lot of energy, everytime I use another OS for web browsing I even feel bad
Yes. I have a Lenovo Chromebox. Just upgraded it to 32 MB RAM and it's great for everything I do on the web.
You mentioned "all these devices that are plug-in ready". Are there / is there a scanner?
Very interesting video from the different industries. I would like to read a video where Chrome OS is active in the manufacturing industry, for example quality inspection of products, etc.
Was the card reader of the POS machine using chromeos? If not which os was it using
Hey, that’s me!
The most important consideration with ChromeOS is how easy it is to manage. Everything is controlled in the Admin Console.
I would love to work with Chrome os at my work instead of Microsoft
I think when Windows 10 stopped in OKT 2025, many people goes to CHROME OS laptops !🤠
There may be specific uses for ChromeOS but having just travelled with a Chromebook for three weeks the No Internet, Slow Internet or Intermittent Internet eclipse all the other flaws in ChromeOS.

Tell then to fix the chrome browser. It's been hogging a lot of memory and crashes too often. Switched to Opera as main browser
what if chromebooks came with snapdragon cpus ? is that possible?
You missed the inclusion of Touch screens at the bottom are disability friendly, not everyone can reach a touch screen ! Hence they will have the ability of controls at the base.
Google has removed the support of lacros on July 2024, so can we add chrome multiple profiles in chromebook now. Please reply

Can ChromeOS work on Mobile devices and receive tall text and data?

Still no desktop icons ?
Great video. I love Chrome OS I'd really like my work to move over to it but the organisation is too big and too deep in with Microsoft to move over 😢
I’m not a big chromeos guy but that’s cool
Second.
Alos the video is cool
🫶
But why Google doesn't make chrome books?
This all goes much further towards solving business needs than Microsoft with its Recall nonsense.
I shouldve came...😂
First!
