The funniest part was when Aquaman was wearing a bomb vest behind Superman. Even if Aquaman does blow himself and the apartment up, Superman’s invulnerable

Those are all MEGO 8" dolls (we called them dolls back then), from the World's Greatest Superheroes toyline; MEGO had both licenses. As a kid we jumbled them all together just fine. ;-)

I think the idea was introduced in comics in the 90s but reading comics back then was not "mainstream" so the joke was kinda nerdy.
I think the thing I still laugh at the most is in the opening intro of the roommates, Hulk is out on a road carefully poking roadkill with a stick and then runs away afraid. Lol.

Hulk's best line is "Dishes done" and we all know why.
you know its funny, Aqua-man even in his "weakest mode" is insanely useful and dangerous if he wanted to be... heck if he wanted to use the slightest bit of creativity.
The fact that he can dive to any depth, stay down for as long as he wants, and doesn't have to worry about oceanic threats like sharks, and such.
First, given the number of shipwrecks, how much money in gold and other materials could he have access to. And that whole talking to fish comes in to play, this essentially give him access to ANYTHING thats under the sea.
Underwater phone lines at any depth could be intercepted and tapped. this included secure trunk lines running miles under the sea. Of course the ability to "CUT" under water internet cables... he could isolate countries or entire continents from standard high speed internet, phone, and force everything to satellite.
I think it's obviously playing more on the whole fact that much of the Robot Chicken writers grew up with and the main public tends to remember the Superfriends version of Aquaman who was basically kind of a joke in that show.
