Good video! I have been working on 2 older knives that were in bad shape. Due to concern for the back springs I soaked them in WD40 to loosen up the crud/rust then started working cleaning with WD40 to loosen them up.
Ever tried mineral oil? It’s cheap 😁 Get some of those tiny bowls at Dollar tree and let it soak a bit. If you still have trouble give it a try. It should break stuff loose .😁 Thanks for watching and sharing your input! I appreciate it buddy!

Those old frontiers by imperial were great knives, rumored to be made by csmillus actually, on contract. That folding hunter is great cuz it’s a little different than the rest, it has a spear blade instead of the skinner blade. Very cool, and useful. I swear, the knife doctor is gonna make nev r dull stock go thru the roof, everyone seems to be using that stuff now. Gonna have to get my some. Been using brasso and Flitz, they work good too. I understand the process and the long footage I am working on a case trapper that was my dad's. I have been trying to figure out how to get it in to a 10min video and it's difficult for sure but you did an excellent job. Did really good. I use never dull on mine and have for a few years. I don't bath mine I do all the removal with fine grit sand paper and wd 40. Appreciate the process. Nicely done brother. Hope you and your family are doing well and God bless buddy.
