From a hip-hop fans perspective, Life is Good was amazing. The beats were tight, the flow was raw, and the lyrics were straight up superior to anyone else in the album and song category. Maybe millions of people liked Drake's album, but millions of people also like Kesha. Worldwide appeal does not mean a stronger piece of art. Its like if Avatar had beaten Hurt Locker for best picture. Maybe millions loved it, but that doesn't mean it was a stronger piece.
Well deserved win too. One of the most sensational albums I've heard. Great from start to finish. And they say hip hop is dead.
