Yes the tuba is so smooth and clear and lovely!😃 The tune you played was perfect! Thank you for all your (& Francis💖) time & videos on all these beautiful sounding organs while on your journeys 😊 we so appreciate and enjoy 😍
Hallo, lieber Paul.
Hello Paul, If you ever pass through Belgium, come to Brussels and ask to try the organ in the "Chant d'Oiseau" church, very powerful, 46 stops and 4 keyboards.. ;)
Dear Paul, I always love your tours of these magnificent organs/churches and your uplifting playing! What a glorious sound! The reeds are to die for!! Bless you, Royden
Paul, I do love these demonstration videos, for while so many of the stops are similar from organ to organ, there are some wonderful exceptions which you so enthusiastically share with us. This instrument is a treasure, and I hope we will hear more of you playing it. As always, I wish you the very best.
English organs never have octave couplers (sub and super) on the great (or at least I have never seen an English organ with these),. sub and super on swell and choir only. Great video, loved hearing the sounds. The Cornopean was fantastic.
The Nelson organ at Gackenbach was purchased used from a church in England that was abandoned. It was then modified and had a new console, so now you can control both the French and English organ from the same place :)
Thank you Paul and Frances (spelling correct?) Your organ demonstrations are some of the best on the internet. I do also enjoy some travel and "behind the scenes" video footage. - Matt ❤🎹🐧
"Resonators" isd the term you want, tops of reed pipes which shape the tone. Diameter vs. note is "scale," and those are very wide-scale tubas! They're also hooded, that is, bent to face the room. These do sound wonderful, and the wide scale is part of that.
As far as the Tuba goes, I think the term you are looking for is resonators. They are also hooded, meaning that the tops of the resonators are pointing outwards. This directs the sound outwards like an EnChamade and also has the advantage of preventing dust and dirt from getting into the reeds. Hope your concert went well. Hope your girlfriend liked it!
Interesting to have English and French organs that can play together. Is difficult to balance and combine their differences? (Surprising to see a fairly small church with 2 organs). From Chicago, U.S.A.
I have always wondered what those knobby devices are, the ones below the keyboards and above the pedal board. In none of the organ videos I have watched have I seen these devices employed.
4:59 god, something about that harmony is so bittersweet 🥲
Eine englische Kathedralorgel in einer deutschen Pfarrkirche. Das ist mal was tolles. Da bekomme ich Gänsehaut 🤩

Auf so einer Orgel wäre es schön, du würdest auch einmal ein Konzert geben!!!
One of the best Clarinets i've heard o an organ.
Paul, I think the “things for the sound” on reed pipes are called resonators in English.

Sie machen das wunderbar ❤
I so enjoy your videos, Paul...and your socks.😅 Are they "John's Crazy Sox"?
Love those beautiful socks 🧦😍 your wonderful ❤
I believe Jonathan Scott has played there before about 5 years ago.
Nice sox

perhaps you mean to say the tuba is of large scale? 😊 I must say I think the celeste beats far too quickly for my taste though!
@@markcooke729 Yup! I originally wanted to say that the opening is very wide 😀
@@PaulFey whats teme is in the final?

Am I alone? I love the organ but my ears don't distinguish tubas and flutes, etc.!
