Thanks for the review Marco. Yes, "Volume 2" is close to finishing playtesting. Manila 1945. After Manila we will be looking at topics that would allow more of a true (rather than abstracted) counter-attack capability for the non-human player.
@@Jackdaw5 A few people have asked me about Arnhem. I just worry it will inevitably be compared to Storm Over Arnhem. I'm considering Cholm (Soviet player), Hong Kong (Japanese player), Caen (British player), Okinawa or Iwo Jima (American player).
@Michael Rinella If you make a good game people will buy it. After all, when I first saw this I thought it looked just like Storm over Stalingrad! Though I'd probably skip on the Manilla game I would definitely be interested in Arnhem, Kursk or Tarawa as Solo games. Cheers!
I’ll toss out a suggestion for a possible Volume 3… How about BUDAPEST 1945? The player takes the role of the Soviets as they try to take the city/fortress held by German & Hungarian forces. Meanwhile, an (off board) SS relief attempt, controlled by the “A.I.”, peels away besieging Red units .
@@michaelrinella6384 I liked the next Storm game after SOS, Dien Bien Phu, much better than SOS. Would you consider applying this solo system to Dien Bien Phu? (Or anything outside WWII for that matter.)

Received my copy a few days ago... This is truly an outstanding solitaire wargame! Am really looking forward to Vol. 2, MANILA 1945.
Volume 3 - Arnhem/Oosterbeek?

Marco, thank you for your review!
Looks good! But would this fire Storm over Stalingrad? I love that game but hard to play solo…
This is a very different game than SOS.

@@DaveKohr I think Hue, 1968 would be a good candidate.

A clear rip-off of Don Greenwoods excellent "Turning Point Stalingrad" game by Avalon Hill 1989.
