Sinners can only be killed by angelic weaponry. They will survive anything short of that but depending on how badly they are hurt it can take a while for them to recover. If they are completely destroyed they will just grow a new body but that will take a while and is quite painful.
@benl.ofthegamecatarmy Yeah, that was the most brutal wait I've had in 40+ years of fandoming. But they absolutely made it worth every single second. I'm so glad A24 and Prime picked it up. I don't think any other 2 companies would have let this be what it needed to be.
Yeah, there are a few things to note about how Hell works in this universe. Firstly there are two major types of demons. The first are Sinners, who are humans who have been damned to Hell after death. When they arrive in Hell they gain a demonic form that usually reflects how they died and is designed to make them hate how they look. Alastor is a notable example, seeing how his demon form is that of a deer, referencing how he died in a deer hunting related accident. Sinners cannot reproduce, are confined to the Pride Ring of Hell and are biologically immortal. The only way they can be killed is through the use of blessed weapons, which angels use during the Extermination, explaining why Hell is so overcrowded. The second type of Demons are Hellborn, which are exactly what they sound like. These are demons that were born in Hell. They vary a lot depending on how high up the hierarchy they are, but the lower classes are able to be killed with regular weaponry, whilst royals need the blessed weapons described before. Charlie is the only Hellborn in the main cast of Hazbin, but the sister series, Helluva Boss focuses a lot more on how the lower and upper classes of Hellborn live in this world. The Hierarchy of Hell basically works like this, from highest to lowest: 1. Lucifer. A fallen Angel. The King of Hell and the Sin of Pride. 2. Lilith. The First Woman and Lucifer’s wife. The Queen of Hell 3. Charlie Morningstar. Their daughter. A smol bean. 4. The remaining Six Members of The Seven Deadly Sins. Asmodeus. Satan. Leviathan. Mammon. Beelzebub. Belphegor. They each run a ring of Hell, kinda like Dante’s Inferno. 5. The Ars Goetia. A collection of 72 noble Demon families with very strong magic and rigid sensibilities. 6. Overlords. Powerful demons who have come into being by providing necessary advancements to Hell. Alastor is the Overlord of Radio, because he brought the idea of radio with him to Hell when he died. 7. Sinners. Described above. 8. Hellborn demons. 9. Imps and Hellhounds. The lowest of the low. Often working class or even slaves.
That is a very good explanation, but I would just like to correct a little detail. Overlords aren’t just granted the title because they brought something to hell, but because they conquered and rule over a section of hell. Alastor is only an overlord due to a technicality, since he is powerful enough to destroy most of the other overlords, but has currently no territory of his own.
@@charlieboy7319 Yet. Has no territory of his own, yet. Arguably, the hotel could be considered his territory since he has tasked by a member of the ruling royalty to defend it. Might even elevate him to the equivalent of a duke, which could be about as powerful as the Ars Goetia.
@felixtkatt Currently. I did specify that Alastor “currently” has no territory of his own. As for the hotel being his territory, I did considered that, but since Charlie merely ordered him to help out for as long as he desired, I would consider him as part of the staff of the hotel, not its owner; that would either be Charlie or Lucifer, since the building does belong to him
@@felixtkatt alastor definitely isn't as powerful as an Ars Goetia demon. He's strong for a overlord yes, but he has been shown in the show, namely episode 8, to VASTLY overestimate his own power. During his fight with A (if you haven't seen it yet) there is absolutely no visable damage being done to A. Not even a scratch. Alastor does little more than annoy him and then gets hit by a single attack, that by his own admission he nearly died from. It isnt until C Stabs A and L punches A that damage appears. Alastor is a medium fish in an enormous pond where he likes to bully those weaker than himself.
Just so you know. The Hazbin Pilot and the Helluva Boss series on Vivziepop's channel can be reacted to with no copyright editing at all. The Hazbin episodes only on Prime are a different story unfortunately (though instead of cutting out huge chunks of the video, I suggest just superimposing a "Here Due to Copyright" watermark on the video. Or maybe even just fading the video a bit. or both).
Other folks will be better able to expand on this, but yes, their are those who are born in Hell. The Imps from Helluva Boss, are an example of this. Sinners are people who died and are sent there.
Correct. In this series (specifically this episode), charlie is the only hellborn. All others are humans who have died, becoming sinners/demons, who are unable to leave this ring of hell, the pride ring, ruled by lucifer (not to be confused with satan, a different entity entirely). In the sister series helluva boss, we see the opposite. Only a small fistful of sinners, the cast being mostly hellborn imps and hellhound (the bottom rung on the power ladder) and the [seven deadly] Sins (satan, beelzebub, mammon, asmodeus, et al) the rulers of the 7 rings of hell, third in the power ranking (lucifer, followed by charlie and her mother, lilith).
There's also the succubus, the merfolk-themed ones (leviathan?) and the goat-themed ones(???). Each race comes from a particular Ring of Hell, but they can all travel, live and mix freely to all the Rings.
Oh and the Goesha.... Goisha??? The royalty of Hell. I have heard that they supposedly were originally from the pride ring but were pushed out/left because of the sinners? Not sure if that's Vizzie accurate :)
@templeofthegods the Goetia family, or the Ars Goetia. They're a prime example of how much research went into this. Stolas, his father Paimon, and the former's 71 siblings are "real" demons from Christian demonology. The circular sigils seen around them and the sins are also from such sources.
@templeofthegods I've also heard that at least in mythology they are actually a type of fallen angel. I don't know if Vivienne is going in that direction though but that would be cool I think.
P.S. You should definitely watch the entire series. The story and character development alone are more than worth it and pretty much every song is worth putting on a playlist.
20:55 Actually yes. Granted Charlie is a very special case given who her parents are, but there are several species of hell born demons roaming the place too. There's the Ars Goetia demons (demon owl royalty like Stolas in Helluva Boss). Each ring of hell (one ring for each of the seven sins) appears to have at least one unique own native species to call its own, as well as some form of imp occupying it too.
This series is insane. Fair warning. Episode 4 is a rough one (the only episode rated 18+ for a reason). It covers very difficult topics in a very raw way. It does have some of the best songs in the series though (which is saying a lot).
So so happy you started this! I'll be sure to watch every video you post about both Hazbin and Helluva! Hazbin is amazing on Amazon and Helluva mellows out a little as it progresses. Just a heads up, the pilot for Helluva is no longer considered Canon officially. Viv confirmed it not long ago. Hazbins pilot, however, is still considered to be somewhat Canon. 🥰 I can't wait to see what you think of both!
25:47 not many notice this, but the picture on the wall behind Vaggie and Charlie is Charlie, Lucifer, and Lilith at Disney World. In front of Cinderella castle. Yup. Viv is a major Disney nerd and the show has more Disney references (and voice actors) than you can shake a stick at. Seriously. It's ridiculous. And awesome.
Glad you reacted to this. My daughter, Ashe has been after me forever to watch it. You gave me no excuse anymore. lol I actually liked it. Too bad Twisted doesn't like this kinda thing or I'd make him watch it with me.
Hey Brandy! I'm glad you're getting to Hazbin. If you like it (I'm sure you will), there's also "Helluva Boss", same universe and creator. Anyway, hope you're well, and I've got a reaction suggestion incoming. Ignore it if you want: Pete & Bas - Stepped Into The Building

Because there was such a long time between the pilot and the series, many of the voice actors from the pilot were changed and the pilot itself is no longer considered cannon.
Ahh yes the hotel of hazbins, a beautiful mess if you ask me. Confused by the plot but vibing with the songs, at least that was my experience. What follows is an opinion so don’t get your tacos in a twist; I liked the goofy animation style of the pilot more than what they used in the series. Perhaps I’m just biased from growing up watching loony tunes.
So some lore dump for ya. Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer. Yup, that Lucifer. She is literally the princess and heir to the throne of Hell. Her Mom is Lillith, the first woman. Lilith is sort of referred to once in the Bible but she is mostly from Jewish folklore. God created her as Adam's equal and she didn't want to submit to his rule seeing herself as equal and so she left. God then created Eve from Adam's rib. Lucifer and Lilith met and fell in love. So he'll is divided up into rings, one for each of the seven deadly sins. Each is ruled by a demon who is the embodiment of that sin. Lucifer rules all of hell but he is also over the Pride ring. Mortal souls who come to hell live in the pride ring. They can not go anywhere else. This is all they know. They can die, but simply respawn feeling all the pain of their death again. They can not procreate. Sinners can amass power for themselves over other sinners. These are the overlords. They essentially run things as far as sinners are concerned in the pride ring. They oversee serious industries etc. Angel's boss/pimp is over the porn industry. Etc. They amass souls whom they control. They take that power for themselves. So the hierarchy of hell goes like this from top to bottom 1. Lucifer. 2. Lilith and Charlie 3. The other 6 deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Sloth etc) 4. The Ars Goetia. These are essentially like the dukes and such of hell. They are again part of Jewish folklore. Named and their duties etc. In Helluva Boss you'll meet Stolas. He is charged with overseeing the stars and planets, understanding the prophecies told in them, plants and farming. He is charged with teaching humanity These things. He has 26 legions of demons at his command. A prince of the Ars Goetia. 5. Sinners (a. Overlords, b. The rest) 6. Hellborn a. Imps, Succubi b. Hellhounds The Goetia, Imps, etc live in the other rings of hell. They can come and go wherever they like as they please. They have jobs. Families. Some farm. Some work in clubs. Basically normal life. Helluva Boss deals more with the rest of hell where Hazbin deals with Sinners. As an addition, angels come in some classes as well. Seraphim (Lucifer is one of the original and highest ranked) manage the affairs of heaven. Under them are some other ranks we don't really get info about. There are also then the mortals who died and went to heaven. Some seem to have more authority and power than others, though not based on soul ownership like hell. Seems to be on fame and importance of good deeds. Yes the show is a commentary on what really gets you to heaven or hell, etc And a very clever one at that.
@SlayWithBrandy you're welcome 😊 it really is a great series and I'm happy to see your genuine love and appreciation for it. I can't wait to see more from you around it. Take care ok and talk soon definitely!
Not sure about this series. I think I like Helluva boss better. I looks like this series was made more for the female's and Helluva boss more for the guys. Maybe im wrong but thats the vibe I get. Anyway love the Chanel ❤
The series itself is odd with copyright but if you throw a slight filter or watermark should be ok. I have seen quite a few people do that and not cut anything at all from the show and be fine. Also going from the Pilot to the show can be jarring as every voice is going to be different. Remember there was like 4 years between the Pilot and the Prime show.
Faye Mata who voiced Katie Killjoy in the Pilot also voices Myne from Rising of the Shield Hero and Aqua from Konosuba.
Sinners can only be killed by angelic weaponry. They will survive anything short of that but depending on how badly they are hurt it can take a while for them to recover. If they are completely destroyed they will just grow a new body but that will take a while and is quite painful.
I really hope you react to the whole show!!! I think you'd enjoy it ❤
I plan on it! trying to put out about an episode react every week if i can!
