- It's Independence Day! Which means it's time for the annual fireworks celebration on the National Mall in Washington D.C. Fireworks will be launched from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

It was a great experience!
I was there for the first time. Reached DC at 8.30 in the morning, attended the Declaration of Independence ceremony, parade, visited museums & other historic places and of course these fireworks!
Although I had no friends or family to enjoy with since I’m on student visa and been here only since 6 months but was a great day!! 🇺🇸🎆

I wish I was American. I would be celebrating July 4th too :(. Instead, I'm Canadian and although Canada Day was a 3 days ago, I completely forgot about it because there wasn't any major events happening that would have kept my memory. So sad about that, but I hope that in the future, I can find my way into the US as a legal immigrant and then I can celebrate it too! Unless it's only for US citizens. That would be a bummer
No, no, don't worry! I'm good friends with people who aren't American citizens by birth, yet still celebrate it. You could totally join the fun :D

Where I lived. Now, it's been a joke, for 15 years just like our football team. This cursed place. Changing the name from Redskins to Commanders didn't 🆘. D.C. needs help, with their team.

The person or people setting off fireworks on the ground, in the middle of the crowd, needed to be arrested. Looked dangerous, and very distracting.
