    Correction: he did not support trump merely because he saw Trump's appeal to a class of people. He knew that for a long time. He supported Trump after having seen his effectiveness as president. Vance repeatedly testifies to this, and it is an important point because it is a story representative of many others. And it's shallow to suggest Vance supports someone just because of their appeal to a certain group of people.
