I truly love how much the people in the Philippines love to celebrate the New Year. I was in the Philippines to celebrate 2020 new year and I want to do it many more times because it's always fun in the Philippines. I'm American and all I can say is that you all do it the best.

Last night was a little muted, maybe bcoz prices of fireworks 'skyrocketed' 3x. I remember when i was a kid, fireworks would start exploding as early as dec 22, and on dec 31 you can hardly walk on the streets as early as 4am. At 11pm, the entire metro would be very very noisy and this will continue till 3am.
togetherness with family, togetherness with neighbors, and the community, and the result is amazing, the feeling to be inside the happiness, not only viewing them, but being part of that scenes of happiness among the people.
In our country the Philippines, fireworks display and firecrackers are not just in specific place its all over everywhere, thats how we celebrate and welcome the New Year, Filipinos inspite of the hardships will buy and lit their homes just as that, because its part of our culture and tradition.
