Shaun Martin, Chinle, AZ (Navajo Reservation)

Shaun Martin is already a legendary educator on the Navajo Reservation, and he's still in his prime! Outside the walls of school, he's a world class ultra marathoner. Kind, focused, hard-working and compassionate, he's the ultimate role model.
Meeting Shaun was not only a highlight of my trip, connecting with him was one of the motivations for MY VITAL LESSON. I wanted to know what teachers of his caliber believe we most need to teach.
