- It's time to start moving rearward in the cage fabrication again and in today's video, we begin that process with a rear hoop that will tie into the anti-roll bar mounting area as well as the rear upper control arm mounts!

Thanks for cutlass update, next time you burn yourself like that use something we all have available, mustard i know it sounds crazy don't knock till you've done it. get it on as soon as possible smear it all over burn blow on it to dry faster if you're in a hurry or just let it air dry and right back to work. Every time i used it kept burn from blistering.
i was just thinking the other day, when you went on rocky mountain race week in the dale truck, I believe I was one of the first people to comment on cleetus's channel and say " Kevin from KSR should take the dale truck " . I love that picture you have in your office of ruby, Leroy, and the dale truck !

That “mill scale” on chrome moly is impurities in the metals when it’s heated at extremely hot temperatures and then rolled into tubing mainly it is made up of iron at least that’s what my grandpa told me when he used to work in mills that produced a lot of chrome mole and other tubing products. Take that with a grain of salt though.
Can't escape the humidity unless you move to west Texas, NM OR AZ.
The most stressed member in the car will be you Kevin if you get water under the tyres again,, what colour scheme will you be painting the car 🚗 in ,, soccer mum blue is a lovely colour

I heard once a long time ago you can greatly diminish that surface rusting by spraying the tubes with WD40 after welding them in. Don’t know if that creates issues down the road but it seems like a simple fix. Might be a decent idea with the 5 day delay between work sessions you’re dealing with. Watch out for skin infection from the pool.
i just came from a well known no prepers channel and he is getting a new car built and i was looking at the a pillar bars on the cage and you could climb through between the bars and the a pillar i thought that it looked ok but now im looking at your car and now i see what it needs to look like

I've always told speed shop owners to advertise used parts as "race proven parts". Lol Have you thought about offering those awesome threaded pipe adapters you make for the cage? That would make an excellent addition to my purchased pre-bent and cut roll cage. Considering I still gotta weld it in, those could be EXTREMELY useful. When you're laying in bed, think about how long it takes you and material costs and ask the channel if it would be worth it. Something tells me you'd sell a bunch of them.
It would not be cost effective for us to make them in house to sell, but I do have some buddies with a CNC lathe that I may could get to whittle me out a few.....hhhmmmm

Nice work! I'm building a 14 pt cage for my 70 Dart, any secrets on making those off angle notches? 30 degrees or so seem to be the one kicking my butt! Love your channel!

That is out of the Lexus SC300 that I crashed at the Freedom Factory. It still checked square where the cage was mounted so we saved it to dunk into another SC300 shell that I have.

when you notch and remove the mill scale from the end why do you not clean off the mill scale first then notch
Sometimes I do, if I remember to put it into the lathe to polish it before I start notching it.
