  • Sascha Friesike shows what happens when digital tools are used in the wrong way. He wants us to better reflect when digital transformation is appropriate and useful. Sascha Friesike is Professor of Digital Innovation Design at the Berlin University of the Arts and Director of the Weizenbaum Institute. He is also an associate researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute. Friesike is an industrial engineer and holds a PhD from the University of St.Gallen. In his research, he focuses on the role digital plays when something new is created. He investigates the role of digitalization in science and looks at how creative people work.     I am working in Digitalization in Franfkurt and the key reason it's taking so long is because people are averse to Change. Germans love to maintain the status quo from same Chancelor for 20 years to same shops in the Christmas market every year ! In the end it's not about the technology but people.
