Kaul, I don’t believe this is something India should invest in as of now. It should be focus on building its road, train, ship and air modes of transport instead of venturing into an unknown mode of transport with very high investment requirement. India has a lot of bottlenecks. Even if India get such a high speed mode of transport but with a limited avg. speed on road of 25-30kmph will still be rate determining step.

If this is done by the private sector, & the govt. doesn't put up any obstacles, this can be done much faster.
