There is clearly a proper way to do things here. They are completely ignoring cost of living, which is a huge factor. Select an income range to cost of living ratio, and hence you have an objective measure suited to nearly all places.

You do not have the time to do any house maintenance, like painting,grass-mowing, snow blowing so you pay people to do those things. You travel a lot for business. You also pay a lot of income tax. Making a large salary in Canada means you work your ass off.

Different Country will have different outcome, for example, earning CAD$ 100.000 worth of income in some SEA country makes you the RICH. you can pretty much buy anything you want.
The definitions make me laugh. By all definitions I'd be upper class, but live a lower-middle class lifestyle, thanks to Toronto housing prices.
With so many families getting by, making less than you. Sounds like you have a spending problem and not an income problem

Everybody thinks their middle class in Canada because Canadians have a hard time using the word class in the first place. It makes them uncomfortable.
Policy makers should get a middle class wage for just one year to see how it is.
