As an army vet I can tell you that the A10 is ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE AIRCRAFT OF ALL TIME!!!!! Those guys saved my ass more than once. Thanks guys!!!!!!!
friend of mine said he was once in a less than opportune situation when an A10 was called in. said after that first pass where all you heard were those massive rounds making contact with earth and the ensuing BRRRRRRRRRRT his fears and concerns slowly faded away with each consecutive pass after that.
I was there in turn 2. This fly-over was absolutely insane. I couldn’t stop laughing with this stupid grin on my face the entire time. The race was fantastic too.
I was on the infield in turn one. Definitely one of the better fly overs I’ve seen. Side note: I’m in the Indiana National Guard band. My trumpet section leader is the one that plays taps every year and absolutely nails it. It’s all so awesome to see in person on race day. I freakin love the Indy500
Thank you for the share. From the vantage point, it looks like you were very close to me in the same stands. I had an ear to ear grin when these guys came back over the track and grinning again now!
this video showed up in my recommended and i watched it and went back to watch my own video i took of it from turn 4. the flyovers are always so amazing but this one had something really really special about it
amazing videos! This was the last race i went to before the world changed and I had a personal loss I will always love Indy 500! I look forward again to going someday
Best flyover at the Indianapolis Speedway ever, gonna be hard to top that one!! We were sitting in the upper deck on the front straightaway and couldn't see much, but what we could see was pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing the video!
If there’s 2 things I love, it’s IndyCar and Aviation. May not be the most knowledgeable in both, but I still love them. We are planning on going to the Indy500 next year. I hope we do, I can’t wait.
You can actually watch the view from inside the cockpit of the F16 Viper here on YT. The pilot is Major John "Rain" Waters and his channel is The Afterburner Podcast! Awesomeness!
I love that the speedway is so large that the A10 can basically just do laps. The TBirds back home again flyover was great this year, hope they can combine that with aspects of this demo for the future
yes, probably not for every premier league game though. They do have a demonstration team called the red arrows(similar to the TBirds or Blue angels) for large events like the GP at silverstone
I'm assuming the A10 was with the 122d FW (163d FS) but where did the F16 come from? The closest ANG F16 unit I can think of would be the 180th FW (112th FS) in Toledo. Looked fantastic from this position.
dpm1982 the F-16 is from shaw AFB in South Carolina. It was flown by Maj John “rain” Waters. He flew for the F-16 demo team. As for the A-10 it was from Davis-Monthan. They are the A-10 demo team. The P-51 and P-40 are from private collectors.
Both jets were from the official F-16 and A-10 airshow demonstration teams. The FAA and military is very particular about letting jets maneuver around people so it makes perfect sense the certified air show teams did it. Worked out incredibly well...all time flyover.
I was there. On the front stretch. As an instructor I immediately thought "how cool and impressive is that ... but not very smart, on part of the pilots, military or the FAA." There is a reason the FAA has restrictions of no lower than 1000 AGL over assembly of people and 2000 feet horizontal from them. A flat pass fly over at a safe altitude is one thing but Obviously a waver was granted and those guys were hellava lot lower than 1000 agl and pulling some serious Gs, If any of those high performance jets ingested a bird, had airframe failure or the guys had to punch out... there were nearly half a million people just a few hundred feet below... and at that altitude no time and no where to make a safe landing or avoid houses or people... that track is right in the middle of residential and urban area.

Those pilots were like, we wanna race indy too
New track record: 15 seconds flat
I doubt it, the shit they're doing is way better than any car. PERIOD!
This is the greatest country on the planet, and every time I question that I will come back to this video
We were in turn 3. This was so amazing! F16 was going up directly above. The SOUND!!
nothing i love more during a flyover than when a jet will sometimes go vertical over the stadium and you feel that power in your chest lol
I was there in turn 2. This fly-over was absolutely insane. I couldn’t stop laughing with this stupid grin on my face the entire time. The race was fantastic too.
Timmy Turner same I was in the infield tho
Same w/ me in T1 was like "F YEAH!" USA USA USA best flyover yet!

I was usually in the SW section turn 2
When they went straight and then turned for the 387th time I was like wow
Hearing the A-10 gave me goosebumps
It needs "BRRRRRT"
not as scary as the Messerschmitt Me 262
It's May again, we finally get to go back. This was one of the best goddamn flyovers I've ever witnessed, thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting. NBC totally dropped the ball on this aspect of pre-race coverage....
could not agree more... But maybe we should just be thankful that we were there to experience it.
Steven Dorris NBC = Fake News
Thank you for the share. From the vantage point, it looks like you were very close to me in the same stands. I had an ear to ear grin when these guys came back over the track and grinning again now!
Yes this was one of the best fly overs I've seen at IMS.
Same
this video showed up in my recommended and i watched it and went back to watch my own video i took of it from turn 4. the flyovers are always so amazing but this one had something really really special about it
i was in short shoot 3 and 4. That was the coolest thing ever.
Me too! Unreal!
amazing videos! This was the last race i went to before the world changed and I had a personal loss I will always love Indy 500! I look forward again to going someday
So badass. Thanks for capturing this!

I'm sorry, but the best Indy 500 Flyover was a couple years back when we got a B-52.
This will NEVER get old.
I love how different yet similar the two sound.
The A10 sounds so clean while the other one (F16 maybe?) sounds so gritty i love it
Opposite
Damn bad ass fly by's the folks there got a special treat for sure.
I was there too for that race! That’s second flyover was exhilarating! ❤️❤️
If there’s 2 things I love, it’s IndyCar and Aviation. May not be the most knowledgeable in both, but I still love them. We are planning on going to the Indy500 next year. I hope we do, I can’t wait.
The sound of Freedom!
Yeah if your not on the receiving end😅😵
The sound of solid engineering ;)
That is why I can sleep well at night. The baddest fighter pilots in the world!
It's all fun and games until that A-10 starts to go "BRRRRRRRRRRRRT"
These pilots were like, soooooo you think them cars are fast? 🤷🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🥂
America, you really are the best country in the world!
if atleast they knew basic geography
And THAT is why I enlisted in the USAF at the age of 17! Cause we got badass aircraft and badass pilots to fly them!
Best part of the race if you ask me
You can actually watch the view from inside the cockpit of the F16 Viper here on YT. The pilot is Major John "Rain" Waters and his channel is The Afterburner Podcast! Awesomeness!
The Hog and Viper going for a few laps at an Indy 500... Gawd dayum!
That F-16 was badass🤘
Rain Waters in the F16, badass pilot!
Warthog sounds so cool.
Love flyovers - - and pilots do too :)
This video gave me chills!! USA 🇺🇸 USA 🇺🇸
A touch and go would be really cool
This is why Turn 3 will always be the best turn in racing
Pilot of the F-16 was like "Clouds are out? Time for me to depart in style." and then proceeds to climb straight above the clouds ahaha
Crazy cool :D You're lucky to have chances like these in US!
I wish I was American so I could go to the Indy 500 and watch this haha
Mericaaaaaaa! 💪🏻
I love that the speedway is so large that the A10 can basically just do laps. The TBirds back home again flyover was great this year, hope they can combine that with aspects of this demo for the future
GOD.......I love A-10's
I was in the short shoot in 3 and 4 and dude they flew right above me
Flying to hide in the clouds is probably the coolest exit ever.
Everyone gangsta until the A-10 pilot accidentally presses the fire button for 1 second.
I was there over in turn 1 and 2
I love it better then people man I love this dream comment me if your friends was in it 🤟🏻😍
Don't know what row you're in but I am somewhere very near you! GREAT fly over! We're in BB and CC
Dan Wheldon would have lived on to see this.😢
He was my favorite indy driver. Hate that's how he went out
What is their lap time?
I think that Viper made it to the moon with that speed.
love that sound of the turbine from the A10. "2nd flyby" And the Viper goes Angles 14 proof gone.lol
Bad ass!!!!
Awesome!
I sat in turn 1 when the f16 came back around and pulled that stick back and went to the moon. He shook the entire grandstands. Was awesome.
A10 casually going back to base for lunch, fighter jet equally as casual goes to see the international space station
Imagine if that A10 goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrt
Anyone else get giddy like a 10 year old watching this? lol
Do other nations like England have flyovers?
yes, probably not for every premier league game though. They do have a demonstration team called the red arrows(similar to the TBirds or Blue angels) for large events like the GP at silverstone
The jet jocks wanted to make a lap too .

Interesting, thank you sir.

The A10 does 360 mph like its nothing and the F16 does 560 mph like its nothing, those nascars coming out doing 180 is a anticlimax
It's all fun and games until the sky starts farting
That wasn't a flyby, that was a mini airshow
marshal of navy:
Wait.. Did they do it.. With the BRRRRRRRRRRRRRT MACHINE?!?!
Pilot can’t hear the applause
💚
There is a lot of friends were in my

eigentlich wurde nur die A-10 gestohlen und die F-16 will ihn abfangen xD
No enemy from overseas will able to do anything to us , unless they come through the border?
FREEDOM BONER!!!!!!!
Democrats don’t realize that’s America, why not support this great country? 🇺🇸
Thank you for everything Curt! Here’s a little something for fun: ruclips.net/video/614ZRBVgNEU/видео.html
