I do this on drill days. Currently working on half-guards. Our dojo does drill days but we don’t free roll during them.

there is a game we did sometimes... chess drills. or chess rolling. you roll with three steps in movement, then the other. i personally learned a lot , crazy a lot with this method.

I google how I fail all the time, and record my rolls when I can, as a white belt it can be hard to be aware of your body so you can't really know what's going wrong

I do this all the time in privates, after researching some videos...I come in with a proposed solution but usually walk out with it tweaked or a different solution.
