Oh my gosh, I feel like I'm going to be such a "Tech Geek" after I learn how to set this all up to my computer and piano. Thank you so much Josh for explaining it very clearly! Looking forward to joining you soon!
This happens because it is essentially a feedback loop. 😬 I used to struggle with this, too. You can get rid of this many different ways. It might help to know what kind of setup you are using. Feel free to email me at Josh@pianomarvel.com
Just finished the setup. Why is there no sound for my participant in Zoom? What am I missing? Checked the audio settings. My Audio Interface is selected for both microphone and speaker. I do have a microphone plugged into the interface. Please help.
Hmm, did you follow the instructions I said at 5:48? If so, I’d think it should work. I’d be happy to Zoom with you to try this if you’d like. Maybe you don’t have something dialed in just right
Some digital pianos have a sound card in them and when you hook that up to your computer you can choose that as your mic, essentially doing what I did here. That’s an option only if your piano allows it. Not sure your setup though.
Thanks Josh! Kudos to you for giving such a simple, clear way of connecting up my audio interface!
Happy to help! 😊❤

Thanks for the quick response! I figured it out. I’m running scenes through OBS thru Zoom. I had to select the audio interface in OBS. It works now. 😊
Yay!! You’re fancy with scenes!! Glad you figured it out, enjoy!! 😊
Hey connecting the aux in causes echo for the other person on zoom ? Why is that and how can I fix it

Are you plugging your headphones directly to the piano? I’m playing piano in an apartment complex and can’t play out loud even for my zoom lesson
Yes 😊
Using this method you can have all the sound through your headphones. I probably should update this video soon, too.
