I just placed the order for the 28g with the ad200 adapter. I'm a landscape photographer but every now and then I like to take photos on location for family and don't like carrying big items. I like this easy setup. Thanks for your video
I think the SMDV “C mount for combo mount for (Profoto) A1 and (Godox) V1” will fit the AD200 round head. It also fits the AD100. The F/Stops Here has a video on the AD200 with the round head and remote head: ruclips.net/video/TPI3CJavFMw/видео.htmlsi=dYUaPAus-BwRU3b3 The AD200 fit with the rectangle fresnel head doesn’t feel too secure. If you pull with moderate force, you can pull out the AD200 even when it’s locked in. With the round head mount, I think it’s magnetic so it’s more secure. Thanks for the comment and good questions.
I have been looking into this. The F/Stop video yeah. Some others have mentioned it but I am not sure if they use it that often they usually use the AD100 which both the Angler and SMDV have an official mount for it. Ie ruclips.net/video/VZQM3EJ8IXc/видео.html How F/Stop uses it is with the EC200 extension cord and use the "ROUND" fresnel head (part number H200R) and mount it on the Angler with the older mount which is now discontinued may had been the Godox V1 mount cos it has 12 magnets. The newer version mount has 6 I think so it is not as secure it does have a lock but the lock doesn't work with the AD200 (as it is designed for the V1). However, I read the H200R might reduce the power output to close to a AD100. I am surprised that the SMDV officially list the AD200 as a mount. On the B&H site re: Angler it says does the AD200 is NOT recommended with the Angler FastBox Softbox Adapter for On-Camera Flash V2 www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1654995-REG/angler_fb_sm_v2_fastbox_adapter_f_camera_flash.html/overview
As far as I know, you cannot use the AD200 bare bulb head with the SMDV Flip 32 G softbox. At least not with the standard mount insert that I have. Yeah, I would have preferred to use the bare bulb head to spread the light within the softbox. Regarding gels, SMDV does sell gels that magnetically attach to the front of the flash mount. For both color correction and creative effect. You can buy gels as a set or individually. There is also a grid filter.
@@TheSunnySuttons With the Flip 32 G and smaller softboxes, the bracket is built-in and cannot be removed to use a Bowens mount, as far as I know. Check out the SMDV Flip 36 and Flip 44 softboxes. Those have built-in diffusers like the Flip 32 G and smaller softboxes. The Flip 36 Pro and Flip 44 Pro have removable diffusers. Get the SMDV Bowens mount insert. Then you can use them with a Bowens mount bracket like the Godox S2 bracket. Those will let you use the AD200 bare bulb head.

You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
nice video. godox ad200 is one of my fav lights on my channel!
Hey, what’s up TMIDD. Your channel was one of my inspirations for getting into off-camera flash! Cool to get a nice comment from you.
Great video! Good info. Do you know if they have a mount for round head for AD200? Also with fresnel head as shown does it feel pretty solid? Thanks!

Hi, interesting product. I like to use the bare bulb so how could i mount it?
Also, is it possible to use colour correction gels with the softbox?

What are the pros and cons of each size?
so is there no way of using the ad200 with bare bulb on this soft box?
