- The Jeff Spira designed "Tillamook" dory I built in 55 days in 2015 was one of my first RUclips videos and remains my most popular. That was eight years ago, and both the dory and my hundred-dollar trailer need some TLC.
Everything always takes longer than I think it will. There will be a Part 3 and a video on rehabilitating the rusting trailer.
Here are links to the two videos of building the dory.

"Good enough is good enough" 👍🏻
It took me a long time to learn that.
I'm starting to build a lumberyard skiff and I really appreciate all your video's. Hope you're still fishing and crabbing.
Not nearly enough. Putting everything else aside for the next week or so and going fishing.
Good enough - for government work. Fish still come to you,, water mostly stays out. You're good!
❤❤отличное видео!
Жду продолжения..
Definitely like!😊😊
Thank you, Dmitry.
Hi Eric, she still looks fantastic after 8 years! The exterior finish still looks great too! You may have mentioned it in the past but which paint did you go with?
Thanks, Eric. Ace Hardware Rust Stop in Safety Yellow. It says on the can it's for metal substrate only. Works fine over epoxy and fiberglass.
👍👍👍😎☕
Since when does it not rain in August in western Oregon?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Average rainfall in August at our house is around half an inch. In the last dozen years, only once did it top one inch.
In your neighborhood, I spent most of August 1958 working in Olympic National Park. Didn't see a drop of rain until my last day there.
@@OregonOldTimer We almost were dry all the way through August. Only one rain actually hit here at the house, and it was only enough to dampen the moss, but not turn it green. Seattle, however got nailed multiple times with a number of downpours and lightning storms. But you know how it goes here on the “dry” side of the Olympics 🤪😁
